Trouble Following the Algebra?
Can someone explain to me how each step flows to the other... if you can be detailed that would be great. Thanks so much to anyone who helps. Also for the form... I'm not sure of good equation writing software.
1. P - P * [(1+g)/(1+k)] = D1/(1+K)
2. P * [ 1 - (1+g)/(1+k) = D1/(1+K)
3. P * [ (1+k)/(1+k) - (1+g)/(1+k) ] = D1/(1+k)
4. P * [ (k-g)/(1+k) ] = D1/(1+k)
5. P = D1/(1 +k) * [(1+k)/(k-g)]
6. P = D1 / (k -g)
2 AnswersMathematics9 years agoBloomberg Terminal Core Assessment Answers?
I just finished the bloomberg core assessment test. I got a 22/30, and you need atleast a 23/30 to pass. My terminal allows the user to take the test twice; unfortunately the lab closed before I got to finish reviewing my answers. I was wondering if there was anywhere online I could view the answers?
3 AnswersOther - Business & Finance9 years agoNet Present Value Problem?
Ok. So the question is as follows:
You are considering a 3,600,000 investment in a new 12 year project. The 3.6 million cost of the project will be depreciated on a straight-line basis over 10 years. The project is expected to generate positive cash flows of 900,000 per year before tax/depreciation. The company's tax rate is 35% and their required rate of return is 14%. Calculate the NPV and IRR of the project.
I'm really confused on how to incorporate the depreciation. I have calculated after tax/depreciation cashflows of 351,000 and after tax cash flows of 585,000. Do I calculate the NPV of 351k for the first 10 years followed by the 585,000 for the next two, then subtract the initial investment? Or do I not need to subtract the initial investment due to it being depreciated?
