I went to a guitar shop today looking to buy and acoustic steel string guitar for around $200. The owner of the shop (who also builds guitars, according to him) showed me this used Ovation Celebrity CC 057 which had it's head broken off (approximately where neck meets the head) but he has repaired it. The previous owner apparently didn't pay for the repair and just left the guitar. He also said that it has been sitting repaired like that all year and that it hasn't gone much out of tune. I played it and I think it sounds fine but you know, I have only been playing guitar for a little over 2 years so I don't really have my ear trained yet. The point is, he offered it to me for $170 (tax already included) including a solid gig bag.

He seems nice and his shop has a lot of good reviews so I am kind of inclined to buy it. I like the guitar it feels quite nice to play. What do you think? Would you buy it if you were in my situation? How reliable would the guitar be? Or should I buy another guitar in the $200 range? Thanks in advance for any answers.

Hi, I am planning to start working out for like the first time. I am 18, 5'8 and 60kg/133 pounds (skinny fellow). I have played tennis competitively for about 5 years and soccer for 2 years if that is any use. I don't play tennis or soccer competitively as of last year. I just want to know the important things on getting started. I have a friend who works out regularly so he can help me with the proper form. I just want any good tips also your opinion on protein shakes. Also what kind of food should I be eating and so on. I am looking to buy my first good pair of decent headphones. My budget is around $200 and after tons of research I have narrowed it down to Audio Technica ATH-M50 and Shure SRH840. I have heard great things about both of these. The only con about ATH-M50 is that they have recessed mids (that is what I have read). I have found only one store that carries these in my area and I don't really want to order online. The Audio Technica's cost $180 in this store and the Shure's cost $200 which is not a huge difference. If you had experience with any of these, how are they? If you had both, which one do you prefer? I need this for a project.

I am in my last year of high school and for the past year I have been feeling like doing nothing. I have always had good grades and good work habit but lately I just don't feel like doing anything. I don't want to do any work or study (but when I have to I eventually do study, but not close enough to before). Why is this? I lost motivation. Why do people become lazy? Did this happen to anyone else? How did you overcome it, if you did overcome it?

I was just wondering if there exists a book that has a story somewhat similar to Far Cry 3? Guy's friends get kidnapped on vacation, he has to save themo or a person has to save the other. That type of thing. Maybe the setting is similar or something like that. I was wondering because Far Cry 3 is a good game with a good story and I would like to read something like it that really lures you in. I am looking for a book with action and thril or suspense and mistery. Or if you can suggest any thriller book with action and suspense.

I am 5'8 130lb so for me the suggested size would be 149cm. But is it ok if it is 156cm? What effect will that have on riding?

I am a beginner and I got the heel egde turns down. I am comfortable with them, but I can't do the toe edge turns. Every time I try my board slides diagonally quickly and drags my feet awkwardly. And when I do manage to do toe egde turns and try to do the heel egde after, I catch an egde and fall. Any tips to get better at toe egde turns and linking turns?

I am a beginner at snowboarding and am looking to buy my first board since rentals are very expensive. But I don't know if I should get a freestyle, freeride or freestyle/freeride board?
