I'm seventeen. I'm rather geeky in the science/computer/maths way. I like punk / ska music. I like friends, so if anyone wants to email me or add me as a friend, they're more than welcome. I love Geography and Physics. I love Linux, open source, and IRC. I'm a libertarian. Um, ask me anything else, simple as :)

  • Why does a higher temp increase the conductivity of a solution?

... I did some cousework and I really don't understand why conductivity is temperature dependant, and also why molarity is. I kinda know, but I can't explain it at all in Physics-y terms.

I've looked everywhere online, but all I get are articles and theses.

    Thank you in advance <3

  • Is it appendicitis? My boyfriend's in hopsital today, here's a short story of what happened...?

Can anyone tell me if this sounds like appendicitis, or anything else thay may have had?

Today he woke up in agony, rated 9/10 on a pain scale where 10 is wry neck so painful he was paralysed. He has osteoporosis and has broken 15ish bones, and he says these would be a 7/8 on this scale. It started as an area on his right hand side on his stomach, then started to move and spread, at one point it felt 'wriggly'.

He went into hospital and had urine and blood tests, all of which were fine. The pain started on the left side, and hurt on reflex, and when he moves his leg (he had to slide down the stairs to get out of the house, and almost cried as we went over speedbumps)

The pain's been at 5-7 all day now, but now also seems to be shooting down his leg and also a bit in his chest. He can only walk with assistance as the pain is so bad. He hasn't eaten anything in 24 hours as he feels nauseous and not hungry, but no fever.

Thankyou all in advance,I have tried Googling, but anything's welcom

  • How is the Gyromagnetic Ratio calculated? Can someone please do a worked example for Hydrogen for me?

I've found out some equations, but when I put the, what I think are correct, numbers in, it ends up way too high. I'm writing an essayo n MRI for my A-Level Physics and I'd erally like to understand this topic more. thank you in advance
