Their is a scene in an independent film being filmed where I live and I have an opportunity to act in it. I am 15 years old and in the ninth grade and an aspiring film director. Even though I would like to be a director, acting in this film would be my only chance at my age and where I live, of being in the film industry. The papers that need to be signed to act in this film are due on Tuesday, so I need to decide quick!

Would film schools care that it's only one scene and that it's just an independent film or would they like that I already had some experience in the film industry?

Can you be accepted into a film school without any experience in high school drama? I am currently a freshman in high school, and not taking drama. I have always dreamed of being a film director and have some movie ideas in mind. But my big problem is that I have really big stage fright and I have always gotten nervous when talking in front of the class. I am afraid of taking drama because I know that you always have to act and perform in front of the class. But I would love to join because I know that you can write stories and scripts for plays, and I would have a chance to share my ideas for some plays. I can't decide if I should just take it and overcome my fear. So those are my pros and cons for taking drama, and I would like for someone to inform me if I could or could not be accepted into a film school.

Another question I just thought of is, if I ever do decide to take drama, can you be accepted into a film school with like 1-3 years of experience in drama?

I don't watch any baseball at all but I always here the same names on ESPN and I don't really know which ones they mention are bad or good. That's because the only stat I even follow in baseball is to see who the home run leader is.
