  • Coloring your hair while pregnant?

So I plan to get my hair cut and colored (highlights) in a few days. Either way I'm doing it, no drastic colors. I have one friend who swears to not color your hair while pregnant because it won't turn out how you want it. But the girl who offered to do it just had a baby and she didn't say anything about coloring your hair while pregnant. Also a few of my other friends who have had babies haven't said anything about negative effects of coloring your hair while pregnant. So I'm curious to know how many other mom's have colored their hair while pregnant? Was your results what you wanted or did it turn purple or green or just not the color you wanted it to turn?

I'm just a bit skeptical that this is true for every pregnant woman.

  • Can stress, alone, cause miscarriage & question about smoking?

Before pregnancy I was taking xanax for anxiety. Since finding out I'm pregnant I stopped taking it and no longer take it since it is not safe for the baby. I sometimes find myself stressed out. Not everyday maybe once a week if that really. I just get really worried that when I stress out that it could possibly cause me to lose the baby. I know that whatever you feel the baby feels. And I always swore that the minute I found out I was pregnant I would quit smoking. It's been harder than I had imagined it to be. I know I need to quit and continuing to smoke just isn't an option. That plays another part in the stress factor because I know I am hurting my baby and I smoke to put stress at bay but then stress out a bit because of what I'm doing. Any tips to help quitting would be amazing I'll try anything. Just maybe need a little piece of mind? Thanks. I am about 11 1/2 weeks.

  • A question about my ultrasound, may be twins, read more?

Please if you decide to answer, please read my entire question! Thanks!

Just got my first ultrasound today. We could see the baby good, except we couldn't get a profile because the baby was lying in a different position. Also there was another spot which appeared to be another gestational sac but the technician couldn't get a better angle of it (and she was on top of the baby, not over top of the other spot). I was wondering if it was another twin, is it possible for the twins to lie in a vertex - transverse position at only 10 1/2 weeks? If it's possible it might explain why the technician couldn't get a better look at it. Here is a link to the picture, you can see the baby where she was recording the heartbeat and then to the right is another spot. Can't see it really great but it's all I have.

The one sac appears to be larger than the other but if the babys were lying Vertex and Transverse wouldn't the one smaller sac possibly be the bottom of the feet? If it isn't a twin I can't imagine it being anything good. Just wondering what you all think from thoughts or experience because I won't get to talk to my doctor until the end of the week or longer!! I have posted this before but only got one answer I also need to add that my uterus is tipped so it could possibly be hard to see if that's possible I'm just not sure really! Could one twin be considerably smaller than the other? And if it isn't twins what could it be? Sorry so long but thanks everyone!

  • Maternity Clothing vs. Regular Clothing?

Ok so I was wondering if anyone has substituted larger sizes of "regular" clothing while they were pregnant. I know I will have to give in and buy maternity jeans regardless and I'm getting a belly band very soon. I was just curious if anyone has substituted larger sized "regular" shirts while pregnant? I'm really limited to the stores that surround me haha and lets say their maternity clothes are nothing to brag about, but their larger sized "regular" clothes look like they'd do just as good. Just didn't know if I was the only one considering this.

  • Mayhem Festival at DTE in Michigan question?

So i just got a look at the pretty epic line up for mayhem this year. It's a show I CAN'T miss! My only problem is that I've never been to DTE in Michigan before (or Mayhem) and I'm pregnant and still will be by time this comes to town. I've looked at the seating map for it and it looks like it has seating? (I've been to concerts and festivals before I know how rough they can get) I just feel as long as I'm smart keep my distance from the pits and stay off the lawn (or mud) I should be good. I really need to go to this, like I said this line-up is epic. I know it would be in my best interest not to go but all of my favorite bands are gonna be there. Any advice about this would be great and give me your honest opinion. Would like to hear from those who have had experience with Mayhem or DTE. I'm just a pregnant chick who wants to rock out like everyone else.

  • Why are so many people offended by song lyrics? Ever had song lyrics make you mad?

I'm playing with fire on this question. I'm just wondering in songs like 3OH!3 - "Don't Trust Me" where it says "Shush girl, shut your lips. Do the Helen Keller and talk with your hips" Not just this song imp articular but all songs with "offending" lyrics in them. Why do people get so outraged? If I don't like lyrics to a song, I don't listen to it simple. It's crazy how so many people feel the need to blog about their feelings over songs. I personally have never had a song make me so mad to where I needed to blog about it. SO, ever had song lyrics make you mad?

  • Do you have extremely vivid, horrible nightmares?

I just need to know that I'm not the only one. If I don't have a nightmare either I didn't dream or don't remember it. But anytime I do it's a nightmare and they are so vivid. To me it doesn't feel like it should be a normal occurrence. I don't like sleeping and when I am I don't feel like I'm resting. This has been happening for three years and is only getting worse. I can go for two weeks straight having them every single nights. I'm worried?

  • Do you think schools are teaching sex ed properly?

Another question I'm hesitant to ask but I'd like others opinions. I know schools teach sex education. But do you think that they are teaching it effectively enough? Do you think it's the schools responsibility to teach young adults about sex, birth control, pregnancy and the risks of having sex?

  • Do you believe in Abortion?

So just got done with a question that had this brought up. Personally, I don't agree with it I think it's still murder. I have miscarried twice and I can't even imagine having it happen purposely. But if someone has gotten raped I could reason on that aspect of it. But do you think that it's right for a woman from lets say 15 and up to get an abortion? Explain why you say yes or no. Remember it takes two to tango and kids know a lot more about sex than you think. Serious answers please, I want others opinion on this.

  • Friendship Issues, Why does she act like this?

So, me and her have been friends for about 11 years now. Quite a long time. After high school we didn't really hang out as much. But here recently we've started hanging out a lot more. I practically lived at her house over the summer. Being that her boyfriend really doesn't like people to "wear out their welcome" I was an exception and they didn't mind me staying for three or four days in a row. I had just moved back so we were doing a bit of partying for a while. I'm not really a big party person so after a few months when I had to start working I couldn't come over as often. And being that I worked until 1 a.m. or later I didn't really feel like partying after work. There have been many times when I've told her that I would try my best to come over and haven't made it out. I apologize to her but I'm not the type of person who wants to get drunk every single weekend to me that's a bit too excessive. Not to mention they drink on Sunday's and sometimes during the week...

Now when she's drinking she'll drunk text me and it can go one of two ways. It'll either be very nice or very well bitchy. Calling me a hoe for no apparent reason. It honestly pisses me off and I think its pretty damn juvenile. I was suppose to come out for Halloween but ended up getting very sick and my phone died. I checked my voicemails the next day and she was threatening to kick my ***, several voicemails and texts actually, but the same thing over and over. It wasn't a joke she was totally serious. For example: "You're a Hoe", "You fn suck for totally fn me tonight", "I hate you", "Next time I see you b**ch, you're dead". She even got other people in on it, I could hear people calling me a skank in the background, of course all of them drunk.

Honestly I don't think that being drunk is an excuse for anyone. I'm suppose to be her best friend, how am I suppose to take this? I think it's childish, beyond childish. I left all this drama in High School where it belongs. And it seems when my cousin is with her a 20 year old who has yet to grow up and find the meaning of life, she still throws little temper tantrums all the time. I don't care for her and shes family, but its like she fuels the fire with all this. I feel like I'm babbling and I know some dumb*** will put some stupid answers on here, but to me this is becoming a real issue. I'm seriously considering tell her to well in nicer terms piss off. Because yet again it's friday and shes drinking and I'm getting texts calling me a hoe. I'm not whining, because I can take a joke, but shes really pushing it to the extreme to where I think now shes more of an enemy than she is a friend. On that note, most of the time when she's sober she's sweet as pie..... most of the time. But there's a saying "Drunken words are sober thoughts" So would you put up with this? What should I do, brush it off or say F it?

Why won't girls just grow up? Why is it that some girls who are in their 20's are still fueled by Drama? I'll never get it.

  • Need more experienced opinions on early symptoms of possibly being pregnant?

Well my boobs feel like someone uppercut punched me as hard as they could in both of them plus they feel almost swollen and heavier? I can't wear anything tight and it bugs me to wear a normal bra, I would blame this on an upcoming period or PMS but I've never had soreness in my boobs before and my period isn't for another two weeks. In addition I've noticed myself being more hungry and extremely cranky. I also feel like my stomach is bloated? Increased heartburn too. I'm 23 so I would defiantly appreciate mature answers and not spoken to like I'm 15. I'm very concerned since I am not on any kind of birth control and we use no protection so I know it is possible. I know the easiest solution is either wait it out or pregnancy test but I am impatient!
