  • getting a dental procedure next week, worried about needle?

next week, im getting sort of a partial frenectomy to relieve the pressure my frenulum it s putting on my gums. it s a laser prodecure, but im mostly concerned about getting numbed with a needle.

im absolutely terrified of needles, and have never had one in my mouth before. it s going to be near my lower lip area, and i was wondering how it feels to get a shot there, or just in the mouth in general?

beyond that, the only thing im really concerned about is having to sneeze during it, lol

  • uneven ear piercings?

so i got my ears pierced nearly a decade ago, one time one of them closed up and i had to get it repierced, and i guess they messed up because it's lower than the other. i hadn't really taken notice to it until recently and now im super insecure about it, and hate wearing two earrings at once. this just really bothers me a lot because i have ocd, and one of my main compulsions is uneven-ness, it freaks me out. does anyone else have these and know how to live with it?

  • my ears get irritated when i wear earrings?

so, i got my ears pierced when i was around 6 so it s been about a decade now, meaning that there s no chance that they re closing up. when i got them pierced i hardly ever took care of them, though.

i rarely wear earrings, and when i do they end up getting red and irritated. is this because im just not used to them? i make sure to clean earrings before putting them in

  • hip pain on period?

hi, im 15 so ive had my period for a good 3+ years now. my cycle is VERY regular (to the point where i get the same symptoms in the same order every time). one of the worst parts about it though is that my cramps tend to "move" to my hip/thigh area. it hurts more there than it does my abdomen! this isn't anything new, it's always been like this, and will go away after a good 20 minutes of taking 2 ibuprofen.

does this happen for anyone else?

  • my earrings are uneven?

im 15 years old and got my earrings pierced when i was 6. they are uneven and this has bothered me recently since ive been caring about my appearance more.

i have ocd so you can imagine how this affects me as trivial as it is lol. it freaks me out and gives me anxiety and tempts me to rip out my earlobes

does anyone else have this issue?

  • am i attracted to boys?

hi, im a 15 year old girl. ive known that ive liked girls for a long time and i rarely doubt my attraction for them, but boys are another story. sometimes i can find boys cute (usually when they look kinda fem tho) and such, but don't really have much desire to ever date one. but then sometimes ill see a boy (almost always a drawn one, not irl) and think he's really cute and might want to date him. this is really rare though, and again, i can't recall this ever happening with an irl boy. am i a lesbian? or bisexual? (i have ocd, so figuring this out is very overcomplicated)

  • is it ok that i don't take Zoloft every day?

im a 14 (almost 15) year old girl and i was prescribed 50 mlg of zoloft for my ocd and other stuff a while back, but i tend to not take it every day and skip around with it because i often forget. (unmedicated adhd going into play there) right now i haven't taken it for 3 days and i have a headache and feel kinda loopy/weird, and im guessing it's because i haven't been taking my meds. is it ok that i do this? like, will i be permanently damaged or somehow injured because of this habit?

  • threw up and went into my nose?

hi, so i just threw up (i dont know why but i was nauseous) and when i was, some of it went up into my sinuses and out threw my nose. i just spent the last 10 minutes constantly blowing my nose and trying to get it all out. my nose still feels funky (like how your throat does after you throw up kinda) but nothing else is coming out, not even mucus. am i going to be ok? has this happened to anyone else before?

  • are lumps in breasts normal?

i am 14 years old. my breasts each have a large lumpy like thing (kinda like an oval shape) about 2 inches across, and is "movable" under my skin. theyre each almost in the exact same spot on each breast, near the outer edge. there is also few "knot" like lumps that are pretty small more near the surface. these have been here for as long as i can remember, and i dont think theyve ever really changed. theyre firm i guess. my breasts are pretty small too i dont know what size they are though. do any other women here have something like this? my mom insists this is normal (and refuses to take me to the doctor since i am a hypocondriac and its hard to take me seriously, though i should get my daily checkup next month)

  • does this sound like a hemorrhoid?

for as long as i can remember, i would say sometime under a year, I've felt a bump near the opening of my anus when i wiped after a bowel movement. this bump only seems to appear after a bowel movement, like it swells after pressure is put on the area. for some time afterwards then, i have to deal with pressure/pain until the swelling goes down after 20 minutes or so, depending on how much i strained to poop.

for a long time, i had a habit with sitting on the toilet for excessive amounts of time, like 2 hours even at most. ive read that can cause hemorrhoids.

my symptoms are basically the lump that appears after pressure is out on the area, pain after the lump appears, and being uncomfortable with sitting down when that happens. does this sound like a hemorrhoid?

  • period cramps worse than usual?

normally, my cramps in my abdomen aren't that bad, just a dull constant ache, and a stronger pain in my thighs/hips. it's normally manageable, just annoying. this time, they were very bad, i was curling up in pain and sweating a little bit, with it constantly having severe spikes and lows in pain. i took some Tylenol so that eased it, though. my diet lately hasn't been very good, and ive been paranoid/stressed out over other things lately if that affects it

  • is this normal for avpd?

avpd stands for avoidant personality disorder, which i feel like i might have (though im too afraid to bring it up to my therapist, bcus i feel like since i havent improved on my ocd / hypochondria / gad, she'll feel irritated if i bring up any more issues)

i only seem to display the symptoms around people that i care about / want to be liked by however? when im around people i've already decided i dont want to get involved with and stuff, i dont show any symptoms. but when im around people i care for and want to be liked by, i find myself showing most of the symptoms

  • is this normal for my period?

usually on about day 2 of my period (every month, so it's a regular thing) my flow almost completely stops / becomes very light. after about half a day or more has passed, it picks back up again. is this normal?

also, additional question: this period i haven't been changing my pads all that often, is there anything that can happen to me?

  • am i gonna get a yeast infection?

yesterday, i put on a pad and went to school and didn't change it all throughout the school day. i then later didn't change it until like 7 at night when i took a shower. i put on a new pad after the shower and accidentally fell asleep. i just woke up at 6:30 am and put on a new one. i know this isn't a very good hygiene habit but has anyone else done this before and they ended up ok ?

  • hemorrhoid + IBS?

ok so im a 14 year old female and have inherited irritable bowel syndrome, that seems to get worse around my period. i have a hemorrhoid that "comes and goes" due to my old habit of sitting on the toilet for HOURS at a time. (ive broken out of this but im paying the consequences now)

what i mean by "comes and goes" is that whenever i strain/pass a bowel movement (or at least try to), a lump always appears in the same place near the opening of my anus. its kinda marble sized, but isnt risen that high off my skin. im guessing this is because of the pressure when passing a bowel movement, it irritates it and causes it to pop out. i then have to deal with having a small feeling of pressure, sometimes itchiness but rarely, and just kinda feeling it there until it fades away after like idk 15 minutes or so.

due to IBS, i often get bloated/have diarrhea or constipation, things known to irritate hemorrhoids. is there any tips you can give to get rid of a hemorrhoid while still having IBS?
