It was some African song which was by a band that was something like Junk and the boo boo gang and was called something like Nureongi (I'm only speculating.. It sounded something like NOO-ROONG-EEE)... It had references to the BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera and so on....!

I'm buying a laptop for grad school in the US and need a laptop that "may" be used for High Graphics Rendering, sifting through huge image databases etc. I will play skyrim on it (at a high resolution I hope) and some other stuff as well and oh yes, need to read books on it too. I suffer from early onset glaucoma and would like a good screen that wont make me blind too quickly. I mainly need it to replace my current desktop which has an i5 2400, an ATI 6670, 8 GB RAM and a behemoth 24 inch screen.

I'm writing a paper on retinal scanning techniques using dct, fft techniques etc. I'm currently in a big mess because I do not seem to have a comprehensive amount of images on whom I can test my programs. If you could possibly provide me with a set of retinal scans corresponding to a group of people, I would be most indebted. Also, I would most certainly credit you in my paper. My dad has been a drinker for most of his life. He has had diabetes for the past fifteen odd years and high blood pressure. Recently, he became quite oddly obese and had to go to the doctor who told him he had liver problems that had lead to liquid being accumulated in his stomach that was making him obese.

My dad would often talk incoherently when drunk. Two days ago he was admitted into a hospital and the medicines dried up the liquid in a mere day or so. However, hesuddenly started talkin more incoherently even though he wasnt drunk when he would lie down. The doctors said it was because oxygen wasnt reaching his head and they put him on oxygen.

However, it didnt get any better coz he would try n pull out the cords. Today, they admitted him into a hospital and put him on artificial respiration. They say it is because of ammonia building up and withdrawal symptoms and they are trying to clean the gases out.

My dad is my only friend in this world. I can't imagine living my life without him. Can someone tell me is he going to die because of this... or is there a good chance of recovery. I'm very scared right now and I want some guidance.

I just gave my GRE and I scored a 1490 (800Q 690V) and have a GPA of around 3.5. I really feel passionately about VIdeo Game Development and Design and would love to pursue a career in that. Can someone tell me what speciality in my MS in Computer Science would be most beneficial for that.

Also, if you could please suggest some colleges that would befit my Score and my Career Path..

I'm scoring in the 1400's (750-800 in quant, 580-630 verbal) in my practise tests though well, I must say I havent begun full fledged studying yet!

My GPA should be over 3.0 out of 4 (haven't calculated it yet...

So I was going home after this really boring dinner at around 1 a.m. and stopped for some cigarettes.

And there was this white lady ahead of me and she was buying some too. And I was standing right behind her because there was only one window.

So she's done and she wants to go. THere's one guy ahead of me and she said excuse me and he moved n I was right behind him and she said excuse me too. Now I (as I usually do) moved away and said "Go Onn".........

Now she walked ahead and after a second or so turned around and said "Piss Off Buddy".......

Now was there some kind of weird custom or something that I didn't follow or was it the "Go On" part............but what on earth seems wrong here to warrant that invective?

Ok, I've been going through a tough phase.....Dad retired, this gal I liked turned out to be rather promiscuous and well, there's a whole lot of studying to do....

So well, past few months I've suddenly started smoking a lot....well, actually I smoke only when I'm out with friends and recently I'v noticed that after smoking..I just....lose touch with my usual jovial self and turn into this sad, quiet guy..(pointed out to me by my ex..)...

Does this happen due to smoking????

I'm turning 20 this June....Help Me Out Here...
