  • Are humans hard-wired to be basically good?

just a question floating in my head. Are we as a species hard-wired to be decent and helpful to each other or are we bascially nothing more than violent, territorial animals hidden under a cloak of 'intelligence'?

  • what are the symptoms of an overcharged Air conditioner in a 2002 kia sedona?

My AC is cooling like poop, and when the compressor is running, there's this sort of...hummmmmm and you can feel it. It's definitely not the blower, because when I run the blower without the A/C, it's fine. There is SOME cooling, just not much, and god help you if you stop at a stoplight for awhile. The Cooling is so feeble if might as well not be there.

I checked the lowside pressure with the car running and warm, A/C on max and it was at about 65-70PSI, which seems pretty high to me. I don't know if it's overcharged or if perhaps I've got a bad expansion valve. Also: the compressor does cycle normally. No Short-cycling or anything like that. (So...maybe that eliminates the expansion valve possibility?)

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Anyone know of a good macro program?

Hi all I'm looking for a program that I can use with a "simplish" interface that will allow me to create a macro (Or write the script for one, or whatever) that will essentially talk to two different programs, automating some big time repetative tasks I have. I would like for it to be open source, if possible, too. (Also, I need the moon...I KEED!) At any rate, It needs to do the following:

Go to spreadsheet_X.xls select + Copy Cell A1

Go to Worddoc_X.doc, paste to predefined location (Table?) I would like for the predefined location to be at the beginning of an email, Hello <Predefined location>,

Go To Spreadsheet_X.xls select Copy Cell A2

Go to worddoc_X.doc, paste into predefined location #2..etc. etc.

    Finally, Alt+D, M (Send a copy to) <recipient located in Cell A4>

    Send.

Doable? do I need to be a programmer? If I get a million dollar reward for automating this, I'll split it with ya 99/1 ;-)

    Any help is appreciated.

  • Persistent fever and what to do.?

Yeah, I know that yahoo is no Dr. Office, but before I spend eleventy billion dollars to have a Dr. throw some medicine at me and tell me to have a nice day, I figured I'd see if I could get an opinion here.

Thursday night of last week, I found that I had a pretty persistent, nonproductive cough; In fact, I coughed so much that I slept on the couch for fear of keeping my baby awake. Friday, upon arriving at work, the cough would not go away. I coughed so much that I gave myself a migraine. It was absolutely horrific. I cannot begin to describe the pain. at any rate, no fever, and completely nonproductive cough at this point. Went to the urgent care clinic where they gave me vi-q-tuss (enough for three days), Azithromycin, and an albuterol inhaler

Friday night, I noticed that I was cold, but sweating...hot like wasabi, REAL hot. So I took my temp- 102. I forgot how much having a fever sucks. The medicine reduced my cough pretty good, but did not eliminate it completely.
