Suddenly waking up earlier than intended?
Since three months ago, I have been experiencing sudden awakenings nearly every other weekday. For example: I set my alarm for 7 am but somehow I wake up slightly anxious at 5:45. I always manage to fall back asleep though. I researched about this and the underlying causes are depression and anxiety, which I m mostly sure that I don t have. What should I do about this?
2 AnswersMental Health5 years agoWhy does water stay in your ear?
When you go swimming, for example. Does anyone know the science of it? How it works, where the water stays, etc.?
1 AnswerSwimming & Diving5 years agoMy vision is weird. Please help?
My right eye has a prescription of -3.00, but my left eye...well, there's no sign of near-sightedness with my left eye at all. I've recently realised that when I look at a close object, like my phone or a book I'm reading, my right eye completely takes charge: if I close it and let my left eye see, it takes a while to adjust. I don't even need glasses: whatever my right eye can't see, my left eye does. It's as natural as breathing and I don't control it. What's happening? I don't think I have anisometropia. I've seen my optometrist for this, and he doesn't say much about it though he does ask me if I have headaches and such, but the answer is no.
3 AnswersOptical5 years agoLarge sibling age gaps...advice, anyone?
I was ten when my mom got pregnant; eleven when my sister was born (I am now fourteen). Being the only girl in a two-child family, I've always had the fear of having another sibling, one that would take my parents' love and attention away. The roles in my family are often reversed: my mother will quarrel with my brother and slam the door while I settle the issues, and tell her when to cross the street. Basically, my mother has the emotional capacity of a teenage girl. When she told me she was pregnant, I cried and ignored her for days, and she'd snap at me instead of comforting me. But I soon fell in love with the baby growing inside of her.
Fast forward to now and oh, the irony of my situation. My sister is adorable but occasionally bratty, which was caused by my mom's parenting skills...or lack thereof. I feel trapped, like I am the built in babysitter/Counseller who works without pay. And my mom has yelled in her spur of the angry moments that she wishes my sister had never been born, while I am left to pick up the pieces.
My mom has also begged me to help out with my sister's future education fees since by that time, I would've found 'a good job'.
No, talking to her will not work.
4 AnswersFamily5 years agoCan you critique my drawing abilities?
I don't think age is really important so I'll leave that out, but I've always found creative arts to be my safe haven. Can someone tell me what I need to improve on, tips and tricks to better my skills? I've never tried shading so this was a first attempt.
1 AnswerDrawing & Illustration6 years agoWhy does society think that power runs in the blood?
This may seem like a stupid question, and I guess it is, but why? Even in fairytales, as long as your father is the king, then you are a princess who possesses wonderful qualities. I don't believe that leadership is inherited. If one of your ancestors did something remarkable, does that mean that you have the world bowing at your feet without having to accomplish anything?
2 AnswersPolls & Surveys6 years agoCost of learning the violin?
What is the cost of learning the violin in total? As in, how much is the instrument, lessons, and exams?
3 AnswersClassical6 years agoShould I learn how to play the violin?
I want to learn a musical instrument but am not too sure. Is it possible, at almost-fourteen, to play seriously and go for exams? I don't plan on being a genius violinist and performing on stage or whatever.
1) Is it too late to learn the violin?
2) Approximately how much will I have spent when at an advanced level?
3) What are your recommendations and advice?

6 AnswersBaby Names6 years agoI hate my brother?
Words cannot describe my frustration towards him. He is only 11 months younger than me but I have to be his babysitter. He constantly goes through my stuff and has used blackmail against me a number of times. I've stopped writing down my feelings because I know he'll read them. Whenever I don't let him use my stuff, he physically and verbally abused me, and threatens to spread nasty rumours about me. He is a disappointment to my parents as well. They regret having him. Honestly, he is just a spoiled, ungrateful child and I can't stand him.
Telling my parents won't be an option, nor moving out as I am too young. What can I do? I feel like breaking down sometimes and wishing his existence was a great nightmare.
4 AnswersFamily6 years agoWhy do I have such big hands and feet?
I'm 14 and 5'4. My hands are 6.5" in length and I wear size 9 shoes. There is always someone who makes fun of me for these. All my friends have dainty little hands and feet - they love comparing sizes and one even calls me big foot. Another says I have man hands, like it isn't obvious enough. I'm sick of them judging me for something not in my control.
4 AnswersFriends6 years agoWhat does bad handwriting indicate?
I have been told that having bad handwriting means you are intelligent, creative, and don't have time to write nicely because you have too many thoughts to write down. Is this true? Or are other factors involved, such as laziness, lack of care, or bad writing grips?
5 AnswersOther - Education6 years agoQuestion about periods?
I will be turning 14 in October. The first and only time I got my period was on November 26, 2014. It lasted for eight days. Haven't gotten any blood since, but there is light discharge from time to time. Could it have been a false alarm? I wasn't tested by doctor, but when I asked him about it, he said something about hormone imbalance.
I'm pretty sure the oestrogen in my body is working because I have all the secondary sexual characteristics. What could be going on?
1 AnswerWomen's Health6 years agoWhy are my friends always making fun of me?
Whatever I do, they will find something to criticise about. I wear a size 9 shoe, and all of them are more like size 7. I tower over their 5" 2s (the shortest is 4" 10) at a 5" 5. They laugh at my body hair. I'm fourteen, I'm only human and I'm not thinking about waxing so soon. They also make fun of my horrible math skills and other stuff.
Then, the next moment, they'll start complimenting me. This cycle repeats itself every. Single. Day.
I tell them that I'm glad I have big feet because my weight can be more spread out. One of them is obese and always complains about feet aches from having such small feet.
I was genetically engineered to be this way. What gives them the right to ostracise me? Help, anyone?
2 AnswersFriends6 years agoMissed my period for four months?
I turned 13 last October, and got my first - and only - period around late November. It lasted for eight days. I haven't gotten it again since! What is wrong with me? I've read up about the possible reasons: POCS, anxiety or stress, weight gain, etc. But none of those apply to me a hundred percent. Someone please tell me what's up?
- I am definitely NOT pregnant.
- I have light amounts of discharge everyday.
- I have a balanced diet, and try to fit exercising into my weekly schedule as much as possible.
Any and all help is appreciated!
4 AnswersWomen's Health6 years agoHow to show them I am truly humble?
I'm a prefect in a strict school. I rarely raise my voice, and I make sure my orders come with smiles and politeness. Recently my brother said his friends have been bad mouthing me. They supposedly called me a show off, undeserving of my position, and one or two even mentioned the B word. What am I doing wrong? Why am I being talked behind my back doing my job?

4 AnswersSingles & Dating7 years agoNeed help with naming characters for a book I'm writing...?
I just can't decide! Here are their characters:
Girl #1: Long, wavy blonde hair, greenish-grey eyes, 5"1, slim. She is sarcastic, smiley, quirky, weird, and good-natured. She loves dancing and goofing around.
Boy #1: Best friend of girl #1. He has dark brown hair, blue eyes, and he's 6"2. He's cocky, loyal, sweet, a huge flirt, and over-protective. He plays the drums and really wants to learn the guitar.
For girl #1, I'm thinking of Mikayla Adrianne, Riley Olivia, Charlie Breeana, Breeana Grace, or Vanessa Jade.
For boy #1, I'm thinking of Avan Zachary or Damien Alexander.
Please list the names in order, favourite ones on top, and least favourites at the bottom? And also give some suggestions! Thanks a lot!! =)))
