Medicine1 year agoPaste Word doc material in a text box?
I'm doing a newsletter, trying to past material in a MS Word text box. But there is something like a cross with little things at the end of the cross bars in the text box. I can't copy the material in the box. What is wrong?
1 AnswerSoftware5 years agoOther than Hillary Clinton, have officials gotten $225,000 per speech?'?
There has been criticisms of Hillary Clinton because she has gotten $225,000 per speech to Wall Street groups. I've wondering, how much have other government officials gotten?
For example, Henry Kissinger is in no position to influence policy, but he would be well worth hearing. Did he give speeches after leaving office, and how much was he paid?
Also, Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush?
In other words, is Hillary Clinton's $225,000 out of line, or consistent with what others have gotten?
4 AnswersPolitics5 years agoIs anything being done to provide more access to contraception in the countries affected by the Zika virus?
The February 12 Newsweek article, "In the Zika Zone," said that many women in the countries affected by the Zika virus have poor access to contraception or cannot afford it. But the governments of the countries are "simply scrambling to set up decent diagnostics for the disease." I'm wondering, are any outside organizations, the UN, etc. helping to provide access to contraceptives in these countries?
3 AnswersCurrent Events5 years agoWhat are your opinions of a computer tech support company called TechLiveConnect?
I tried to contact Apple about a problem in downloading and installing their new operating system, El Capitan. Somehow I got switched to a company called TechLiveConnect. I agreed to pay for their help in cleaning up my computer, optimizing it and tuning it up, etc. and I'm wondering if that was a mistake. I felt they were pressuring me to spend a lot of money. I have never heard of that company. What has been your experience with it?
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment5 years agoHow to cut number of Facebook postings?
I am getting too many Facebook postings. Some have nothing directly to do with the Friend who is posting. How can I avoid getting things like, a Friend "shared a link," a Friend "liked this," and postings where a Friend was tagged in a photo? Most of this type of thing are not interesting to me. I get enough political news from other sources, don't need more. It is getting too time consuming to find the postings I am interested in.
1 AnswerFacebook5 years agoWhat are your opinions of Mac Cleaner and Advanced Mac Cleaner?
I have a desktop Mac, with Yosemite, Version 10.10.5. I was invited to buy Mac Cleaner (free) and Advanced Mac Cleaner ($39.95).
What do you think? Should I get the free version? Is the Advanced version worth $39.95?
(I have had a few problems with pop-up windows saying there were problems with my computer, obvious scams.)

Yesterday, I took a TV dinner out of the freezer and put it in the refrigerator. But I forgot I had it, cooked another dinner. Now the first dinner has been sitting in the refrigerator for over 24 hours! Would it still be OK to eat?

4 AnswersDental6 years agoDo sherpas have problems adapting to low altitudes?
The sherpas who help mountaineers to climb Mt. Everest are physiologically and genetically adapted to living at high altitudes, altitudes where most of us would have problems.
But in recent years, some sherpas have moved to lower altitudes. Do they have problems adapting and living at lower altitudes? (Can they be comfortable when they first move to a lower altitude? Or is it difficult but do they adapt over time?)
(Wikipedia article on "high-altitude adaptation in humans" doesn't cover this.)

I have been using Answers for years and have 38% Best Answers. Recently, I can type an answer into the answer box but there is no way to submit it. There is no Submit button. What is wrong?
Could people have complained about me and gotten me barred from Answers? Some of my answers may have offended some people.
(Thanks to those who answered before, but they assumed there was a Submit button--sorry I didn't make it clear that there wasn't.)

2 AnswersYahoo Answers7 years agoHow does Morningstar get its ratings of mutual funds?
I couldn't find anything on the Morningstar website. What factors enter into the ratings (returns, risk, fees, etc.) and what factors are most heavily weighted, i.e., what factors have the most influence on the ratings?
