Is there an easy way to compile 64 bit applications with Visual C++ Express 2010 beta 2? What configurations are necessary?

I need a small Python script that replaces all < with < in a given string. The script should import any modules it needs and be as short as possible.

I am linking with a c library that calls printf a lot. However, my application is GUI based. Is it possible to capture the output from the printf calls, if possible avoiding redirecting it to a file.

Normally on Windows Vista, the computer will automatically download updates for the OS from Microsoft.

However, is there a way to obtain them WITHOUT an active internet connection on the computer they are to be installed on?

Maybe a website somewhere???

I am just starting .net programming with Microsoft Visual C++ Express 2008. I created a Windows Forms Application project and when I compile it (without any modifications) it results in an error - "Error spawning resgen.exe"

The problem is not that resgen.exe is missing - it exists in Visual c++'s bin directory.

Is there any reason it won't compile?

By the way, reinstaling VC++ is NOT an option.

After months of work, my text editor is now available for use! Any opinions on it would be much appreciated, and of course, it's free.
