  • What does resetting a router do?

It resets the ID and Pass...

When I ordered my connection I had to give a password for them

Say I changed my password obviously. Then I reset the router. Would it go back to the original password which I set which I gave them the first time I ordered it or would it go back to the basic password like "bt" or whatever?

  • How to learn new Chinese words?

So unlike Japanese or Korean etc... they don't really have an alphabet when you spell out words really.

So I find it hard to learn new words because:

    1. I can't read it which leads to me unable to even be able to find the meaning.

In the other languages you can learn the alphabet and if you have a new word you can most likely sound it out because of their alphabet/writing system.

    Chinese you can't.

So if I see a new word, I have no clue what to do.

Anyone got any ideas on how to get around this?

  • Need help with Excel and creating graphs/charts!?

I tried making charts, like pie charts and bar charts.

    Here is a screenshot.

    http://imgur.com/npwVV6V

What I want is to create a bar chart (E.g. in the screenshot I was trying to create a bar chart to show the total amount of each age group 16,17,18 etc...) What I did was highlighting row 1 and 2 then I went to insert, then clicked on bar graph. Then below is the graph which I got... it showed each age of each questionnaire, where I wanted to have total amount of 16 year olds, 17 year olds etc..

    ALSO

When I try to create a pie chart for like the total of M and F... I highlighted row 1 and 3 and did the same thing with insert > pie chart but nothing came out... it doesn't work or show anything. It doesn't read non numeric data? Nothing shows up.

    Please help me :)

    Thank you very much.

  • About extra certificates when applying for university...?

When you apply for a university they want your grades etc... say in High school or college (UK) you get a certificate to essential skills or something like that.

Is it worth photocopying and giving that as well? Or is it not going to make any difference?

Now I mainly was aiming this question towards applying to a university abroad...

But I guess I'll ask here anyway..

  • About China or HongKong?

I want to ask, how international is China or HongKong? I've been to HK but it's been so freaking long since I've been I can hardly remember anything.

I know HK is international, but mainland China I have no clue

Do the Chinese speak English much in HK or in the mainland or can they even speak English?

Also how friendly are the Chinese to the foreigners?

Is it worth it? Is loans and grants good there? Which place has the best universities?

Is it hard to get into universities in the US?

  • How does this subtraction work?

    How does this work?

So my teacher showed me some weird way of doing subtraction and this rule is messing up my mind...

Where he wrote different equations where the positives and negatives are different orders like

    - 567

    756

Where I have to swap them around and make put the bigger number on top? I don't know.

How do I do this using this method?

    If you have:

    886

    - 954

    -------

    answer

    --------

I don't get how this method works.

I found the answer is -68, if I did it in my head ok... but when I write it down as this method then I'm confused.

    You get 4 from 6 = 2

    5 from 8 = 3

9 from 8? How do I do that?

How do I end up with -68?

    Same with this:

    311

    - 498

    -----------

    Answer

    -----------

I took 1 from the ten making it 0, carried that over making the 1 an 11. Took the 8 from 11 = 3?

    Carried 1 from the 3hundred making the 0 a 10 and took 9 from 10 = 1?

Then I had 9 from 3 which how do I do that...?

I must be doing something wrong.
