Single Mother of Four | Less Than Two Weeks To Find A Home?
I would like to begin by apologizing for using Yahoo Answers to share a link for a charity, as I understand this is not what the website is designed to be used for. Please hear me out as this will be short and sweet.
Cassie, who I would consider my best friend of going on 9-years has hit a road bump in her life. Cassie has four very special, sweet and young children (6mo. – 7yrs). Cassie’s landlord has decided to do a short sell on the property Cassie’s family lives in, giving her just under two weeks to find an apartment / home (12/15/2020).
Keeping food on the table, formula in the bottles (for two babies), the heat on and the babysitters paid while she works as much and hard as she can to barely pay the bills. She is unable to produce the $2,000 deposit needed to obtain an apartment. COVID-19 put her out of work for just under 3 months which wiped her Savings.
I have posted a link below for the charity campaign created for her family; you can read her whole story there. ANY amount would be so greatly appreciated and helpful – 100% of every donation goes directly to Cassie (via PayPal). I know you don’t know her family, but the bottom of the tree this year will already be a little bare, they would love nothing more than a warm bed.
Thank you so much for any assistance you can provide, or at least taking the time to share this link and read Cassie’s story. Happy Holidays to you and your family – please be safe and stay healthy!
Personal Finance4 months agoSuboxone & Subutex?
I recently was prescribed Suboxone by one of my doctors, I take frequent drug screens and wanted to know if I took Subutex, if it would still show up the same as Suboxone on a drug screen?
I know the main ingredient in both medications is Buprenorphine, but Suboxone also contains Naloxone. Would my doctor be able to tell the difference between Suboxone and Subutex on a drug screen?
Thank you in advance!
1 AnswerMedicine1 year agoTapering Off Opiods?
I am prescribed (4) 10mg Oxycodone and (2) 8mg Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) per day. However, the amount I take is much different.
I generally take 8-10 of my Oxycodone, and 6-8 of my Dilaudid per day. I have a very high tolerance to opioids.
I would like to bring myself down to the amount I am prescribed per day and take them more responsibly. Any suggestions on a successful tapering regimen to get me down to my prescribed amount?
3 AnswersPain & Pain Management2 years agoMy Oxycodone Tolerance?
I’ve been on Oxycodone for going on 3 years now. Both prescribed and not prescribed, but that’s not the point of my question.
I’m more worried about my tolerance. I’ve taken high quantities and not felt a single thing, just ... normal, I guess is how I would describe it. When I say “high quantities”, I’m talking anywhere from 120mg - 180mg at one time. Does this mean my tolerance is completely shot? And I know that amount is easily an overdose for a lot of people, but I’m still completely functional.
At which point would an overdose occur for someone with this tolerance? Let alone a lethal overdose?
Thank you!
1 AnswerMedicine2 years agoDo I Inform My Pain Doctor of This?
I have been seeing a pain management doctor since April of this year. I've been transitioned from a variety of medications up to now, Oxycodone 10mg (4 times daily) along with Gabapentin 400mg (4 times daily) for pain; and Trazodone 50mg (3 per night) for sleep. As of right now, I've been taking the Oxycodone (which is the focus of my question) for 1 month; two separate 2-week prescriptions.
I have explained to my pain doctor that while the 10mg doses do work for my pain, and are effective, the pain relief only lasts about 2 hours, and should be lasting 6. I have inquired about how my pain doctor would feel about moving me up to 15mg. His response, understandably, was that we do not want to start increasing my doses this early on as it will ruin my tolerance. This last time I filled my prescription, I took one and a half (15mg) to test the effectiveness, and the pain relief spanned from the current 2 hours up to 5 hours.
Is it worth mentioning this to my pain doctor, or will it make me appear as if I'm abusing my prescription?
I feel like he is reasonable and understanding, but I don't want to put him in a position of having to discontinue my prescription or monitor me closer due to some Utah law I don't know of, or go against the Doctor Office policies.
PS: He cannot increase the amount of opiates I take, 4 per day is the office's max. This means no opioid long-actings.
I am diagnosed with: Degenerative Disc Disease, Neural Foraminal Stenosis, and Fibromyalgia
1 AnswerPain & Pain Management2 years agoOxycodone and Urine Tests?
I have been prescribed Hydrocodone by my doctor for Degenerative Disc Disease in my neck and lower-back, as well as Nueral Forminal Stenosis in my neck.
I've recently started with a Pain Management Specialist, and was prescribed two other non-narcotic pain medications along with an anti-inflammatory. Since my next appointment with my Pain Management Specialist is scheduled out farther than my prescription for the Hydrocodone is supposed to last, I have aquired some Oxycodone.
I weight about 230lbs, am 5'8" and have taken a total of 400mg of Oxycodone over the last 6 days. I know the average life of oxycodone being detected in the system is 1-4 days; but I don't know if the amount I've taken qualifies me a frequent user and if those times may be more?
Could someone with knowledge on the matter please inform me if I will be clean within the next 6 days? If you have doubts, what can I do to speed up the process of clearing it from my system?
Thank you in advance.
3 AnswersPain & Pain Management3 years agoTransporting Prescription Painkillers From U.S. to Mexico?
Theoretically speaking, if one were to go on a cruise departing the United States, traveling along the coast of Mexico, and docking back in the United States once it is finished. If one were to purchase Oxycodone in Mexico while docked, maybe 30-60 pills, and carry it back on the cruise ship to the United States, what are the legal restrictions? Also, how is this monitored?
Once arriving back in the United States, I will be flying back to my home state. If I store the pills in my suitcase in a ziplock. Would they search my luggage? Would this chance decrease if they were in a prescription bottle?
Thank you!

I live in an HOA community in Utah. Today, they put Christmas Lights up along the roofs of the community. The lights that are on mine, and my attached neighbor’s townhome are plugged into my outdoor outlet. We as homeowners are responsible for our own electricity expenses.
If I choose to unplug them, could the HOA start a fight with me?
8 AnswersRenting & Real Estate3 years agoBest Strut and Spring Assembly for my car?
I own a 2012 Chevy Impala LTZ, it's that time, the struts need to be replaced.
I would like to go a little further, and spend the extra money on something that gives me a better ride than my factory suspension (don't get me wrong, it was great), but I want a smoother ride. Less bumps and vibrations. The shop I go to is trying to sell me on some Monroes, which I've heard mixed reviews on. What brand would you suggest for a superior ride? I would like something that I can get the whole strut and spring assembly for simplicity.
Any suggestions?
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs4 years agoHow much would an Air-Ride Suspension cost?
Hello!
I own a 2012 Chevrolet Impala LTZ - it has a comfortable stock ride, but I'm looking for something more comfortable. I have done a lot of upgrades to my car, so I wish upgrade my existing suspension, rather than buying a new vehicle.
It is my understanding that and air-ride suspension is the best, smoothest suspension to have in a vehicle. How much would a full set up, installed cost in my car? Are there alternate options aside from an air-ride suspension, good shocks?
Thank you!

How much is it to get the 75K service performed on a 2010 Audi Q5 (assuming there are no problems with the vehicle)?
My Audi is saying "Service Due", I believe the oil was just changed this last June though, so I'm not sure if it is referring to an oil change, or the scheduled Maintenence at the 75K mark?
Thank you!
2 AnswersAudi5 years agoWhy doesn t Apple incorporate Beats into their new devices?
Since Apple has acquired Beats Audio, I was hoping they would include it within a new MacBook (similar to HP), or into their iPhones (similar to HTC). So I ve wondered, why doesn t Apple use Beats in their big products? Such as the iPad, iPhone and MacBook?
Maybe due to contractual rights with other companies like HP and HTC as an "exclusive" feature? Or has Apple really just chosen not to do so?
What are your thoughts or input?
3 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks5 years agoExtremely Irritated Facial Rash from Shaving?
I have been shaving my face daily for a couple of years, over time, due to how picky I am with even the tiniest bit of stubble. Over time, it has caused a red rash that I cannot seem to get rid of. I have not tried, nor will I stop shaving to accommodate.
I use Gillette Men s Shaving Cream for Sensitive Skin, as well as a Gillette Pro-Glide Electric Razor. I don t use dull razors (I replace them weekly), and I don t dry shave. It s always been done in the shower with a generous amount of shaving cream. I have used numerous types of lotions (Hemp with Coconut Oil, Lubriderm Post-Shaving for redness, Suave for Very Dry skin, etc.) and no luck. I ve tried home remedies with honey, without luck..
Is there anything that you guys would recommend? I have a wedding coming up in a couple of months, and would like to look my best, but I really do not want to sacrifice comfort in the process (I have terrible OCD).
Is there ANYTHING that you could recommend to reduce visible signs of redness from over-shaving?
3 AnswersOther - Skin & Body5 years agoLandlord Laws - Utah?
I have been renting from my current landlord for a little over 1 year, my lease ended on 07/31/2016, and I provided my 30 day written notice for 08/31/2016.
I have since been in communication with my landlord about the final details regarding returning the keys, the refundable portion of the deposit, as well as the refundable portion of the pro-rated rent. Rent runs from the 5th to the 5th of each month, paying for the month in advance.
My landlord is suggesting going through a walk-through (for any damage) on 08/22/2016, and providing the keys back to him on that day. I asked him, "Okay, since we would be returning our keys on 08/22, and rent is paid until the 5th, would we be refunded the pro-rated amount?"
He said, "No, the new tenants are not moving in until the 09/01/2016." - With that being said, he did tell us that he would only refund the pro-rated rental amount for the month if he got a new tenant for our unit, which is okay.
But, when I asked him if we would be refunded from 09/01 - 09/05 since the new tenants would be moving on on 09/01, he has not responded.
If he were to say "no" to this question, is that against the law? To charge a tenant a full 30 days rent, when we will only be occupying the space for 25 days, and someone else will be moving in and paying again for the 5 days that we will not be there?
Also, I'm assuming we can say "no" to returning the keys on 08/22/2016 since our written notice is good until 08/31/2016 correct?
Thank you!
7 AnswersRenting & Real Estate5 years agoDo I need to notify my Insurance company if I co-signed for a car?
I co-signed on a loan for my fiancé, she is insured through Geico, and I am insured through State Farm. She had the insurance from her old vehicle to the new one.
Do I have to notify my insurance company if I co-signed, and put her car under my insurance (even if she has a separate insurance policy on it)?
I live in Utah.
Thank you!
5 AnswersInsurance & Registration5 years agoHow much would you pay for my car?
I have a Gold 2012 Chevrolet Impala LTZ (fully loaded).
The reason I ask rather than going to Kelly Blue Book, or NADA is do to the aftermarket features which are some of the below...
Alpine iLX-700 App Radio
Alpine Back-Up Camera
USB and AUX port installed in center console
(2) 12" Subwoofers with Amp
Bose Stereo (Factory)
Tinted Windows
Dual Magna-Pack Exhaust System with Chrome tips.
The car itself is in "very good" condition. No scratches, dings or dents in the car (inside or out), the leather has cracks in it, but no tears, scuffs or scratches.
It has a little under 59,000 miles, and had regular maintenance performed. It has been in (1) minor accident which required the rear bumper to be replaced (by an authorized Chevy dealership body shop).
It has a clean title, and a sunroof as well. It is very well cared for, and it shows inside and out.
So what would you pay private party?
8 AnswersBuying & Selling5 years agoAny Uber drivers out there?
How long have you been driving with Uber? And do you enjoy it?
What percentage of the fair does the driver get?
I understand there is a rating system between the rider, and driver. How has this affected you?
On average, how much would you say you make on a weekly basis? Would you say you break even after gas and maintanence, lose, or make money?
Which city / cities do you work in? Anyone in Utah?
Finally, is there anything that needs to be put on your car to identify you as an Uber driver? For example, Lyft, their drivers where a mustache.
Thank you in advance for any information, I'm very interested in becoming an Uber driver, I'm just trying to weigh the pros and cons.
3 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation5 years agoWhat are the best aftermarket car speakers?
I own a 2012 Chevrolet Impala LTZ with a factory Bose stereo. I recently upgraded the head-unit to an Alpine iLX-700, but the Alpine Amp is too powerful for the stock Bose Amp which distorts my base at semi-high volumes. I had my Bose Amp by-passed so that my speakers are now connected directly to the head-unit Amp, but I have lost all of my base, which I cannot deal with. Apparently there are no other options without purchasing a sub-woofer, or new speakers, and I do not want to lose the clarity of my bass at high volumes, my Bose did an exceptional job at this.
With this being said, I have 2 questions.
1). If I were to purchase a sub-woofer, I would want one that is very low base, something that would replicate the stock base the Bose stereo produces, only more powerful. I don't want a "thumping" or "raspy" sound with high-base. What brand(s) would you recommend, in which type of enclosure?
2). If I were to replace the speakers (2 Tweeters, 2 Door, 2 Deck) what would you recommend as a premium speaker brand? I would need something that can produce sufficient bass (without a sub-woofer), and something that can handle the bass at extremely high volumes without distorting the clarity (I like my music LOUD, and I like music with a lot of bass). I also want a vary high quality speaker, that I can hear every instrument, and voice clearly.
Thank you in advance! Price is not necessarily an issue, I just want something that sounds good, and produces.
3 AnswersCar Audio5 years agoHow to make my car sound better?
I have a 2012 Chevrolet Impala LTZ (3.6L V6).
I have removed the stock exhaust and had dual Magnapacks installed about a year ago. To give you a jist (in my eyes) of what it sounds like ... I would explain it as a relatively low-tone when driving at lower speeds, or pressing on a gas gradually. When I "mash" on the gas, I would describe it as a very sporty sound, in a good way.
What I am looking for though, is a low-tone sound all around (similar to say, a Muscle car, or a V8 for example). I have been told that it is virtually "impossible" to be done since it is a V6. But from hearing a 4-cylinder Subaru that has a deep sound, or a Dodge Neon SRT-4 that sounds gorgeous, I just have a hard time believing that my car cannot sound better...
I would like it to have a deep, growling sound, be loud and noticable, but not obnoxiously loud when on a long road-trip. What type of exhaust system would you recommend? What types of upgrades would need to be done, etc.?
Thank you in advance.
