Many are saying that having to show ID to vote is discriminatory.. I'd love to know why it's discrimination to have to show ID to vote when those same people who would have to do so also have to show ID when they purchase alcohol, cigarettes, even Sudafed or other similar medications. What about those who are having to prove who they are in order to get welfare and other state or federal benefits? Don't THEY have to show some form of ID to prove who they are?
I'd love some help here understanding this.
