Hello, I'm Lisa. I have a degree in psychology but I don't think I know it all! I'm also quite intuitive. I love going out with my friends and meeting new people. I try not to take life too seriously but it's an ongoing battle! Hope to give good advice and get good advice in return. Peace :) P.s my favourite quote: "The greatest minds are capable of the greatest vices as well as of the greatest virtues" (Rene Descartes)

  • How much would you need per week in Beijing?

    Hi all,

Myself and my friend are thinking of travelling to Beijing in August. We are applying for an internship which includes free food and accom and a 50euro allowance per wk. I still think I will need more than this to see the sights go out at night etc but I don't know how much to budget for. Could anyone who has been to or lives in Beijing give me some advice on this? Thank you

  • Honestly, how long can she keep this up?

I have always been astounded at a certain friend of mine. She has been taking every drug under the sun on an almost weekly basis since she was 14.That's almost 10 years. She goes out almost every wknd with I'd say about 3 hrs sleep for the whole wknd and eats very very little. She is very thin but apart from that you wouldn't think she looked ill. She is actually a stunning looking girl. I can't understand how her body is still functioning. What are the health repercussions for this lifestlye? No offence to anyone but I am looking for answers from people who have actually been there and are speaking from past experience. I want to know what will happen to her. I don't really want speculative opinon or reactive comments. Thanks.

  • i can't remove all my make up properly why?

hey when i go to take off foundation, there is still a small amount left on my face. It just seems to get stuck in my pores and it looks as if my skin is a bit dry too. I really don't want to scrub my skin as it is quite sensitive and it can sometimes aggravate acne for me too. Why won't it all come off? is it too dry? i use a lot of moisturiser. same goes for my eye make up too and I have quite an expensive eye make up remover. I don't want to leave make up on my face but I don't want to scrub the life out of it either. mmm what should i do?

  • what is the most influential book you have read?

I'm currently reading "the alchemist" by paulo coelho. Think it's absolutely brilliant. It's a close call between that and "God and the new physics" by Paul Davies.

  • Why do men usually date women slightly younger and not vice versa?

Does anyone know the origin of the trend that men "usually" date women a couple of years younger and women don't tend to date men who are younger. I stress usually. I know there are many exceptions. I don't have an opinion on the matter either way just always wondered so any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Thanx guys

  • what kind of skin do i have?

    Hey there,

I was wondering if anyone could help with my skin. I'm so sick of it i wish i could peel it off and start again. I've bad complexion, large pores and occassional spots/acne. It's been this way since my teens. The really annoying thing is I can't wear make up every day as my skin just seems to absorb it and get drier and duller after a couple of days. when i do occassionaly wear it tho it looks great but then i feel like a sham. i want it to be naturally beautiful. It seems to be constantly changing to stress, sleep patterns, alcohol (which i've cut down on a lot) weather conditions, everything. I wish I could just have clear skin, wake up with a nice soft complexion and not have to worry every time i look in the mirror about how red/blotchy/patchy it's going to look. The only thing that makes my skin look good is the sun. It's like a magic switch and my skin looks so even, glowing and healthy. i feel like a diff person. Dunno why that is. I use a natural soap and e45 cream. I abstain from wearing make up as much as i can but i wish i could wear it every day and look glamorous like my work colleagues. i drink lots of water, eat a healthy diet, get regular exercise, try to get adequate sleep, take cod liver oil. its all useless and my sis has beautiful skin and eats rubbish, goes out all wknd and deosnt' drink much water. maybe its the genes and theres nothing i can do i dunno its really getting me down but everyone thinks im happy. any suggestions? i'm all out of ideas!

  • what are your favourite song lyrics and why?

mine are "the only way out is through" by alannis morisette because it reminds me that i cant run away from my problems the only way to solve them is to face them and its not something im good at so those lyrics have really stuck with me.

  • eerie dream................?

ok so just bored so i thought id ask if any budding dream interpretors want to have a stab at analysing this dream if indeed there's anything to analyse. i had this dream a few years ago and was always intrigued by it. i was in a field outside my grannys house with my aunt and the view was all crackly and faded like those old movies then the view started zooming in towards me and it got faster and faster until i woke up. i actually jumped in my bed when i woke up and then i just felt like i had to leave my room because i felt like there was some kind of presence in the room or something. it was horrible. anyway it has always intrigued me. also i have had several nightmares about my grannys house. there was a coffin found in the forest behind her house i think some ppl from the famine were buried there. it is such a peaceful place tho but i have had some terrifying dreams about the place especially concerning spirits/ghosts.

  • Do you think the 2nd lisbon treaty referendum is a joke?

My problem with the fact that we are being asked to vote again is that our decision the first time round is being classed as "unaccepatble". This is supposed to be a democracy. What the hell happened to by the people for the people. Clearly there seems to be a divide here in what we want and what we should want and whatever the politicians want to say under the guise of further educating us just doesn't wash with me. I feel like the only person who is angry about this. I feel like the irish people are being treated like a joke. What is the point of voting if we are going to be asked to vote until we give the response that the politicians want meanwhile being bombarded with propoganda and strategically filtered media broadcasts in favour of the yes vote. I really feel insulted by all of this. I think it makes a complete mockery of democracy. Does anybody else feel like we are being taken for a ride here?

  • should i stay or should i go?

Ok so I'm working in the bank for the last 14 months. My contract runs out in April but I've wanted to leave for a long time. What's keeping me is the lure of money. I really am exhausted though and ive felt burnt out for the last while. I'm not really a 9 to 5 person. I love music and travel and ive always been more creative. I recently got decks there and hopefully i can start to make some money out of that. i also did a tefl course so i can teach english abroad. i do have a bit saved. enough to do me for a while but iv so much i want to do that i just cant decide whether to leave or not. as i am i think ive accomplished a lot in the last year and have a lot to show for it but im scared that if i leave now il regret it and run out of money and get into a rut. On the other side though im constantly exhausted, my skin has broken out coz my job is fairly stressful and my friends feel like im not like my old self these days. When i came out of college i said i would just get a casual job and then save up to go abroad coz i had worked so hard. then i just ended up taking this job and got so carried away with not having to budget all the time and being able to recognise my goals faster than i ever could.I don't know if it's worth it to keep on for the sake of money. every day feels like a month and it shouldn't have to be that hard should it? please offer constructive advice and no harsh judgemental answers. Thank you.
