  • 2000 Pontiac Grand Am Coolant Smell Good Level Though?

Well my g/f has a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am with the 3.4 engine. It smells like coolant after driving for maybe 15 minutes usually and reaching running temperature. The engine doesn't overheat, it does go up a little bit, but the fans kick in and bring back down. The coolant level isn't dropping, so I am just really confused as to where to even start with my diagnosis. I am a very capable backyard mechanic having changed heads and even transmissions in the past, but I'm not very experienced with these motors at all. Is there any way to test and be 100% certain of what the issue is?

  • How do I tell my best friend of 6 years I don't want to play music with him anymore?

I've been bestfriends with this guy for almost 6 years and we've gotten each other through some tough times. I was introduced to a whole new world of people, music, and way of life by him. I enjoy playing music, however, after years of playing and getting no where, I am just tired of it. How do I tell him I don't want to play music together anymore? He seems to think that some how we will get magically signed just because we have great music....

  • Why is it that the good looking are preferred over excellent musicianship and genuine talent?

I would like to know why crappy singers who use gobs of autotune and look pretty are preferred rather than genuine talent and musicianship?

  • Why aren't American cares built like the Japanese?

What I mean is why aren't the tolerances in America smaller like they are for Japanese owned companies? All of my friends own Hondas and regularly drive them well beyond their intended use, while almost all of my American cars/trucks(around 30 so far) have turned to crap at 130,000 miles or so? Bought my first Honda with 197k and at 205k now, it runs better and smoother than most of the other vehicles and only cost me $1500...

  • Do MEPSs have different information by state? Enlistment question. USMC?

2007 Through an issue with my leg I left boot camp, and they questioned me over and over to find something to let me go for. Eventually I talked about being prescribed an anti-depressant as a precautionary motion. I had never tooken after the first time and have drs. note to back it up. But when I first tried to enlist again(2008) I found that an RE-3F wasn't really my problem getting a waiver. The problem was I was instructed by a Navy recruiter to make up a huge story about personal issues. Never came up with anything. Then fast forward 2011 I try again and got a waiver for liver donation easily. It only took two weeks, then I was called an informed that I was denied because of the letter sent in 2008. My question is this: Do different MEPSs have different information STATE to STATE on non-enlisted information? And if not, would it be possible to try for a waiver again? I'm finding civilian life is lacking and would give anything to get back in the USMC or any branch at this point.
