1 AnswerPhysics8 years agoClassical Mechanics Help?
In a given inertial reference frame, two particles are shot out simultaneously from a given point, with equal speeds v and in directions which make an angle theta. What is the velocity of each particle relative to the other according to Newtonian Mechanics?
Also it says there are 2 methods to solve this.
Thanks! :)
1 AnswerEngineering8 years agoGoverning Laws/Rulings on Competitions?
Could someone please give me some guidance on any legislation regarding competitions run by businesses? Online for example, say I have a online retail website and I run a competition that offers the winner a cash prize in exchange for all the entrants to like our page on facebook or something.
What are the rules/regulations regarding this sort of thing? Things like tax, or monitoring fairness of the competition etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

2 AnswersCard Games8 years agoThe Vampire Diaries Season 4 Finale SPOILER ALERT?
SPOILER ALERT - If you have yet to watch the Season 4 Finale of TVD then stop reading
What did everything think of the Season 4 Finale? I must say I was officially mindf*cked.
Congratulations Delena fans, I was so not impressed with the way things turned out there. But I reckon Damon will screw it up soon enough, he always does.
And Katerina being force fed the cure whilst she's about to kill Elena? That was another subtle surprise for me there.
But the biggest mind f*ck of them all, STEFAN IS SILAS' DOPPELGANGER?! WTF
Why must Stefan always suffer? :/
Thoughts please :)
2 AnswersDrama8 years agoClear Vice Dragon ruling? (Yu-Gi-Oh)?
The effect of Clear Vice Dragon is as follows;
You are unaffected by the effects of "Clear World". If this card attacks an opponent's monster, the ATK of this card becomes twice the ATK of the attack target, during damage calculation only. If this card would be destroyed by an opponent's card effect, you can discard 1 card instead.
It says when the card attacks. Does that mean if I attack my opponent or my opponent attacks me? If its not true for when my opponent attacks me, then what happens?
4 AnswersCard Games8 years agoDiscard one card to resolve a card effect (Yu-Gi-Oh)?
When a card says you must discard one card to resolve its effect i.e Different Dimension Reincarnation and you don't have any cards in your hand, can you mill one from the top of your deck, or can you not activate at all unless you have a card in the hand to discard?
Thanks.
5 AnswersCard Games8 years agoI need an A in GCSE English?
I did my GCSE's in 2007 and I got a B in English Language which I was happy about at the time.
At the moment I'm at University studying Mathematics and would like to get a job in finance. I have just looked at graduate jobs at HSBC and they say that you need a grade A in GCSE English which I don't have and I really want to apply. Do community colleges allow you to resit GCSE's if you have already got higher than a C?
Any help is greatly appreciated :)

1 AnswerCard Games8 years agoSums of random variables?
If random variables X and Y have corr (x,y) = 0.5, E[X] = 1, Var[X] = 1, E[Y] = 4, Var[X] = 4
then how do you work out the value of cov(X + Y, X) ?
I know that you can use cov(X,Y) = E[XY] - E[X]E[Y] and corr(X,Y) = cov(X,Y)/sqrt(Var[X]Var[Y])
But how do you do it? Can you please show working
Thanks!
1 AnswerMathematics8 years agoOfficial ruling on Monster Effect once banished by Bottomless Trap Hole?
I have a quick question about Monster Effects if the monster card is removed from the field by, say, Bottomless Trap Hole or Trap Hole or a similar card.
Say I summon Black Luster Soldier: Envoy of the Beginning. As we all know this card has 2 effects that can be resolved. The first is that I can banish any monster on the field, but then I can't attack that turn. The 2nd is that if I destroy a monster on the field I can attack again.
Now, say my friend activates Bottomless Trap Hole. Now Black Luster is banished. BUT, is his effect still resolvable? Obviously, the attack effect cannot as it requires him to be on the field, but an effect like the banishing effect, can it still be resolved?
I have just used BLS and Bottomless and examples but this question is generic for all similar Yu-Gi-Oh cards
Thanks!
3 AnswersCard Games8 years agoQuestion about Equations of Random Variables?
Random variables X and Y are such that X has mean 1 and variance 4, Y has mean 2
and variance 9, and corr(X, Y ) = 1/3
What is the variance of 3X − 2Y + 1
Could you please explain because I don't get these type of questions
Thanks! :)
1 AnswerMathematics8 years agoWhat is the official ruling of Mirror Force and Compulsory Evacuation Device in Yu-Gi-Oh?
Hi guys, just a quick question. I have had a little debate with my friend on the rulings of 2 cards.
Mirror Force - "Activate only when an opponent's monster declares an attack. Destroy all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls"
Now I have reason to believe that the opponents attack still goes through before all monsters are destroyed. Is this true? Because the card does not say "negate the attack"
Also
Compulsory Evacuation Device - "Return 1 monster on the field back to your opponent's hand."
This does not say "negate the attack" either so, say if the opponent declared attack, and I used this card to target the attacking monster, does that attack go through before it is returned to the hand?
Thanks.
PS. The reason I am asking is because these cards don't say "negate attack" like on other cards such as Magic Cylinder. I was just wondering what the official ruling was. Many thanks! :)

4 AnswersMathematics8 years agoHow did the original 13 colonies of America come about and how/why did they gain independence?
Hey guys, I'm really interested in the British Colonisation of the Americas and the coming about of the American Revolution, if someone could give me a detailed explanation to the following I would be extremely grateful.
How did the 13 colonies evolve/come into being?
Were there people already living in Christopher Colombus' "New World" before he made its discovery?
Why did the 13 colonies want independence?
How, in just under 250 years has the United States of America become such a powerful nation that it is today from a Declaration of Independence of just 13 colonies?
And taking all this into consideration, how did the American accent come into being? (just a bonus question I am curious about)
Thanks! :)
