I am hoping to become a video game programmer. I have been reading up on C++ and Visual Basic for a few years now and next year I will take C++ classes. I have been working with and on computers since I was 9. I make movies and music with my friends. I also love photography. Don't call me a MAC fan boy I love Vista way to much. I also have an Internet and Core Computing Certification in Windows XP. That basically means that I can state all 13 default options from the start menu woopty doo! I am currently working on an Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint 2003. I'm also saving up for my certification to become an Apple Certified Technician as well as an A+ computer repair certification.

  • San Diego Comic-Con Ticket Limit?

I am going to SDCC for the first time this year and my friends and I plan on taking a road trip for next year's Comic-Con. Being the only one going this year I've been tasked with purchasing the tickets for the 2012 SDCC while I'm there. Is there any limit to how many tickets a person can purchase while at the convention? I need to know so I can collect money for the tickets before I go.

There are four of us if that matters.

  • Friend in denial about her relationship?

My friend has been dating this guy for a little over 4 months now and it is clearly starting to go downhill and she is in complete denial about it.

She went out of town on a family ski trip just two days ago, and she posted on his facebook wall that she was going to miss him. Within an hour this post had been removed, he has never removed one of her posts before (Yes I am aware that facebook drama is the worst kind of drama but this is extremely out of character and it was the first hint I picked up).

Today when I was talking to her about a get together all of our friends were going to have before we all go back to school. I asked if she had mentioned it to her boyfriend (he is also part of our circle of friends) and she said that she hadn't. So I asked her to go ahead and call or text him to find out if he was showing up and she said that he was "busy." However I know very well that had no family plans for Christmas. So I went ahead and asked her if she had talked to him at all today and she only responded with "I'll talk to him later" which I could tell was a lie.

So am I paranoid, or whatever, for thinking that it's strange that neither one has spoken to the other on CHRISTMAS DAY? Not even the courtesy of posting "merry christmas" on facebook, or (as far as I know) buying her a gift? I am almost certain that something is up and she's either hiding it from everyone or from herself. I'd gladly help her out if she would come forward and ask for help but she keeps turning a blind-eye.

Am I jumping to conclusions? If not, any advice on how I can hopefully improve the situation or should I just wait a little longer to be certain?

  • What should I say to my dad who is losing his house?

My parents divorced when I was 6 and I live with my mother now. Today I found out that my dad, who was laid off 2 years ago and has been unemployed since, is losing his house. I'd really like to be supportive and try to help but I'm only 17. He's moving in to my oldest sister's house tomorrow. I need to talk to him but I have no idea what to say...

  • Upgrading Old Computer Processor?

I have a relatively old Dell Dimension 4700 and I want to upgrade the processor. The current processor is an Intel Pentium 4 running at 2.8 GHz with an LGA 775 socket and 90nm technology. Would I be able to put in a Pentium D 2.8 GHz with 90nm in there? If not what other processor could I put in?

  • What would you suggest as a job for me?

    I am 16 years old

My only experience is 6 months of volunteer office work, mainly filing and what not.

    My education:

I have an Internet and Computing Core Certification in Windows XP

Microsoft Office Specialist in Microsoft Word 2003

and I'm working on becoming an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT)

My interests are computer repair (hardware and software), video editing, photography, and photoshop.

I do need a good source of income so I can pay for my ACMT exams which total to $300.

  • So I am getting a macbook...?

FIRST I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT I HAVE MADE UP MY MIND ABOUT GETTING A MACBOOK DON'T OFFER A DIFFERENT LAPTOP!

Should I wait until the announcement in september that everyone is rumoring about (possible $100 price drop). Or should I go ahead and get it now?

This for school and some video editing.

Also could I get my processor or RAM upgraded if I took it to an apple store a few months after I buy it?
