  • Performance Decrease in 96 Ford Probe?

    My 96 ford probe was running great until I took it to get inspected. It had failed emissions.

    So they told me to change the one oxygen sensor. I did so and it still failed emissions. I was told the computer was bad. After a few weeks of searching, I finally found a computer and replaced it in my Probe. It passed!

    But when i got it back I noticed a severe performance drop. It seems to have a real problem getting up to 30mph. After that it seems ok. But I mean it really struggles from time to time. Does anyone have any suggestions to what I could possibly do?

  • finding equations tangent to a curve?

    Ok, really confused on this.

    Find the equation for the tangent to the curve at the given point.

    1. f(x) = x^2 + 5x ; (4,36)

    Is it y = 13x-16? I have no idea.

    Oh and.

    2. Find the equations of all tangents to the curve f(x) = 1/(x+4) that have a slope -1.

    What do I do for this?

  • Can prozac make you manic?

    Ok I have a odd case.

    I have a history of anorexia and ocd. In my previous treatment for the eating disorder, the doctor put me on prozac since i was experiencing some depression (20mg). I got out of treatment nearly two weeks ago and all together it's been about 8 weeks on prozac.

    Here's the problem.

    Over the past 3 or so days, I get really manic and super happy. It doesn't feel like normal happy. I go crazy, FULL of energy, racing thoughts, talk really fast (too fast sometimes that i don't even know what i'm saying), and just feel overpowered. Strong as an ox.

    Now every once in awhile, I'll get hit with a random spell of depression, and everytime it happens, it's worse and worse. To the point that I don't care enough to move, I just lay on the sofa and stare into space. And at one point I have begun thinking a LOT about suicide. Pill overdose mostly.

    But it only last maybe 3 hours tops then i'm HAPPY again. And occasionally, I have "NORMAL" moods, where I'm just well normal.

  • Calc help with derivatives?

    I got this problem here that I don't really understand. Could some explain it alittle and let me know what they got?

    Find the derivative of y with respect to x, t, or 0, as appropriate.

    y = e^(2sqrt.x + x^4)

    that's 2 times the square root of x

    Oh and while we are at it. For the same instructions, would the answer to...

    y = e^(3-7x) be..

    -7e^3-7x ?

    THANK YOU :]

  • my monitor works but doesnt?

    ok i found this monitor laying around. I hooked it up. And it seems to just come on for like 4 seconds then go to black. I tried running it as a secondary monitor and everytime i set to clone it goes to the screen for like 4 seconds. then boom. And i am setting it properly, since i have a projector that i use as a secondary.

    I got the monitor literally from a junkyard, so what's wrong with it? Besides that i got it in the junk haha.
