If a psychology study is conducted to see if subjects will go on a date based on reading bios from dating profiles made by the researcher. Some subjects will get bios with physical disability descriptions and others will not. Some subjects will get an implicit bias warning where others will not. What are the independent and dependent variables for this study?

There is a cute cashier / barista at this Cafe that my mom is a regular and I go there sometimes. He will never say bye to anyone else when they're leaving. The only says bye to me when I'm already out the door and when I turn around he smiles. He will never say goodbye to anyone else and he's never said goodbye to my mom when she's by herself or with my dad. A while ago he went out of his way to go up to my mom and ask if I was her daughter and remembered what I ordered and remembered my name. My mom has seen him once say bye to a pretty girl with a guy. But he hasn't said goodbye to anyone else while they're leaving. Is he showing an interest or is he just being friendly because he is working?

Like six hours later my parents came into the same cafe and one of the guy workers came up to my mom and asked if I was her daughter and he said my name and repeated what I ordered and asked if the food was for me or my mommy. The guy worker was not the guy I spoke to on the phone or was the cashier that gave me my food. I dont recall the guy who asked about me was in there maybe was. My parents and I are regulars so maybe he seen me with them, but he went came up to my mom and stopped working.

So about five days ago I called in to a cafe to order some food as soon as it opens and when I spoke to the cashier and when I got there he was really cute and we didn't talk much it was just about receiving my food. And about 2 to 3 hours later that day my parents came into the same Cafe and he came up to my mom and asked if I was her daughter and he said my name and repeated what I ordered and asked if the food was for me or for her but my mom said no it was for my daughter. And then he was called to work. Do you think he is showing an interest in me? I mean he remembered my name and exactly what I ordered. I would have thought he's just being nice because he's at work and me and my parents are regulars and he has seen me with my mom for but we never had an actual conversation with him. I would have thought he's just being nice because my parents have a foreign accent and I don't. So maybe he thought I should have a foreign accent he went out of his way to come up to my mom he was at the cashier at the time and he didn't serve her food he came around the counter to speak to her and stop working just to ask about me. I mean he was able to remember my name and exactly what I ordered. What is your opinion do you think he's being nice or he showed an interest in me?
