My wife and I were engaged at the time, and I had an assignment to Turkey. So that she could go with, we got married. When the assignment was changed to accompanied, we turned in the assignment rip to her apartment manager showing that we were to be in Turkey in probably about 2 months at the time. They said that was cool, go ahead and move out. Also, she was told that there would be no problem as pipes in the walls had cracked and there was mold so they are not penalizing anyone in the affected units anyway. Time passes and she comes out of remission and has cancer spreading to other organs so the Air Force says she cant go because they cant treat her there and so the assignment gets canceled for both of us.

Fast forward to today, at 3:30 pm Air Force time, 1530 to you military folks, I get a call from a collections company wanting to collect $595 for an early move out fee that was turned over by her apt managers. I tell them the situation and they say based on the fact that I didn't end up going, they say they want the money, words are exchanged, and I am transferred to a military case manager. This guy tries to tell me that he is retired Marines, I was too mad to care what rank he said, But I think it was Master Guns, because I don't care what you were, no one is going to throw around retired rank to intimidate me into doing anything that isn't in my best interest. In my mind, by taking a job where he is supposed to screw active duty members, he joined the enemy and you are looking to be called a former marine at that point.

I am in the Air Force getting orders to Turkey and I have an upgrade available for my Verizon plan. If I get an iPhone today, will I get screwed if I walked in there tomorrow to cancel with my orders?

I can't find anything more then rumors about how long I get to out-process after I receive my orders. I am moving to Turkey and the PRP process took way longer than expected and with my RNLTD being Apr 10th its looking like my orders will come down this week giving me only days to do my TMO, shut off things in my name and get my house empty so I can get it up for rent. I guess it can be done, but I wanted to take things home for my parents to have since I will not be back in the states for over 3 years, electronics, furniture etc. and I wont have time to do that when the drive home alone is a full 24 hours. Are they any AFI's anyone knows of that will force my RNLTD back a bit?

I am an Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician and I have been interested in going to Antarctica since I heard about Operation Deep Freeze. Does anyone know what sort of Air Force manning requirements they have down there or if me also being a 5 level hydraulics mechanic on C-130s would help me get down there? Any information on how to get down there would be great!

I purchased a 2010 truck and began payments in December of 09'. Thanks to also buying a house last year, and re-enlisting in the Air Force, I have a large amount of money sitting around and have the ability to pay of my 60 month loan at any point I choose. In researching what to do I have gotten 3 different answers, don't pay it off early cause it will hurt my credit, don't pay it off until I have 12 months of payments or it will hurt my credit and, its a depreciating asset, pay it off as soon as possible. Who is right? I don't really have a problem waiting a little bit but I figured out that over the life of the loan I will pay almost 10,000 in interest and I don't want to pay that much for a few credit points. Thanks!

I am deployed and my girlfriend lives in my house. She had a room mate move in to keep her company who was sleeping with a bunch of guys. My girlfriend kicked her out because she was having strange guys over and giving them keys and door combos. When she left she sent me a long detailed email about my girlfriend cheating on me when she was drunk. She said she came home with a guy and they had sex in my house and the next morning she gave my still drunk girlfriend a ride to get a morning after pill. My girlfriend denied the guy coming over, the sex and the pill. After more prodding, she agreed to the pill. She said it was because she thought she had an ectopic pregnancy from a month and a half ago when I left and that the pharmacist told her(more or less) this would flush it out if it was already dead. I dont know what to believe because I dont know what these pills do. Can she be telling the truth? She does have a history of ectopic pregnancies.
