Hi there! So I have a nursing home right next to my school, and I thought it might be nice to go and visit people, maybe bring them a little something, do something with/for them around the holidays. I know alot of times people are lonely, so I just thought it might be nice. I got a group of another 15-19 high school students who are interested and we just need to call and make sure it's ok, see what day and such they want us to come in. You know, logistics. We just aren't sure exactly what to do. There's a big interest in bringing in some kind of music, as we all play instruments or are in choir. But we'd also like to go see them personally and interact with them, instead of just performing for them. Any ideas? maybe gifts we could make and hand out? Thanks in advance :]

The light still comes on, and it sounds like it's trying to open but it won't!!! I'm tried pressing the button, going through my computer and telling it to eject... neither is working. I've also tried propping it up with a knife and a pin... nothing is working!! AHH! HELP PLEASE!! I HATE DELL COMPUTERS!

I'm looking to go to school for either theatre/ stage direction or cinematography. So really, to generalize it, film. I'd rather stay away from the city, I don't really like them. Although I'll go just about anywhere. I was just wondering what schools are fairly well known and possibly get some opinions on them. Thanks!

who's a really neat person you've met? Cool stories? I don't mean celebrates, I mean that's cool too. But a really neat person you've talked to seen, passed on the street? Me and some friends got into talking about this and I'm interested to see what a bigger group of people has experienced, because there are some pretty cool, weird, interesting, funny, and sometimes creepy people out there.

I usually don't get my music from there (in fact, I don't think I ever have...) But someone gave me a gift card and I'd really like to use it... But when I try to use itunes it tells me that I have no internet connection. YET I'm on the internet... all of my connections are fine, I checked that. So how do I do this?!?!?! I've been there before, but now it won't let me! hasn't for the past... about month.

I'm bored... and I feel like it

I just got a computer that someone had used very little over the past two years. When I used it at their house it worked really well, I mean everything. Now, everything still works great, but I can't figure out the speakers! I need sound on this computer!

I don't have a manual, and I'm not positive what model the dell is... all I know is that one speaker's plug is green and on is purple. there are three spots on the back of my CPU box, (one green one blue, one purple) but no matter how I plug them in Nothing happens! The purple plug also fits in the back of the speaker with the green plug but I can't get anything to work...Please help!!

I'm looking for a fun vacation spot for my entire family to go for a few days or even a week. It's kind of last minute and we have enough money to go somewhere but not really fancy. Problem is we can't really think of anywhere to go.

It has to be in the country (US) as only a few of us have our passports. We like historical sites, theme parks, national parks... pretty much anything.

We are willing to fly or drive. We don't really care how we get there so long as it isn't too expensive.

Any Suggestions???

I want to read a really good book... but I can't get my hands on a really good one that I haven't read. I know they're out there!

I love books with quirky or dark characters in them. I don't want just normal people unless they are like, emo or really different in some way. Give me something that's a little out there maybe!!! I want to go somewhere other than my everyday life!!

I love to write, I have a few novels in the works at the moment and I always have a notebook with me. There is only one that I will let people read and that is the novel that I'm most obsessed with. I let my editor and three of my friends read it. None of these friends are friends with each other.I like to have people read my writing every now and then. My favorite thing is when they laugh at some of the humor I added, or sarcasm that a character uses.

Do you let people read what you write? Why not if you don't? And if you do, why and what do you like about it?

So me and one of my friends got into this random fight today over whether fish breath or not. He says that they just suck in water and remove the oxygen, which is right, but isn't that technically breathing?!

We got everyone in the room really into this and fought over it for like two hours all but three people were on my side, this is out of about 20 people. We all say fish breath. I promised I'd figure it out and I really want to prove him wrong! Anyone know?!?!?

Our Mare is due any day, according to the vet most likely tonight! We have a few names, but none that we really love. We would lie them to resemble the sire and Dam's names...so any Suggestions?! (Sire's name: Dreamer Dam's name: Gamble)

Best friends. What exactly is a best friend? Is it the person that shows random acts of kindness to you? Then it could be a stranger. I mean aren't strangers merely Friends we have not yet met? Is it the person who would take a bullet for you? That may be a police officer, and in my experience some of them have proved to be less than friendly. Is it that person who puts up with all of your little quirks?The one that listens to everything you have to say? Or, simply the person who wouldn't stab you in the back?

The term is used so loosely, "She's my best friend," some kids will say. Then five minutes later they accuse the same person of hurting them in some way.

Would most people want, or prove to be a true best friend? Not only are you burdened with your own problems, but you also get your friends. Most times there is nothing you can do to help them except be there for them. It is a lot of work.

Most importantly, are best friends mutual? Looking at most cases, I would say no. The best friend is the combination of whatever you think, with one important quality that they all must possess. They are selfless. If they get nothing in return for thery're freindship, they may not even notice.
