Suggestions for books to read for 13 year old daughter?
My daughter has an assignment at school for her Language Arts Class. She has to read six (6) books by the same author. This cannot be a series (like Twilight) or Nancy Drew.
Can you suggest an author that writes age appropriate books for her to read for this assignment? I'm stumped.

She visited a restaurant called "The Shores" in Oxnard (which is near me) and helped bring out the story of the ghost that had been haunting the place. I wanted to TIVO the show for future showings, but didn't catch her name or the name of the show. My daughter says she had a British accent, but I don't recall that.
