I m looking to buy a car that is no more than around $17,500 after taxes.

I wanted to know would it be better to put a large down payment ($6500) or, put down $2000-3000 and just pay a couple of hundred dollars extra on my car note each month?

I will be graduating in May 2019 with a degree from LSU in Information Technology. I've been trying to apply to jobs to get some real technical experience but I have had no luck.

I've gotten interviews for IT help desk type jobs but no callbacks. I don't understand how someone GAINS technical experience when it seems like no company wants to hire you because you have none.

I am currently studying for the A+ certification and should take the exam by December/January, which I mention in all the interviews I've been too, but I guess it doesn't make a difference.

Most of the jobs I've applied to in Baton Rouge that are "entry level" all had the requirements of 2-5 years of experience, which I knew I didn't have but I still applied anyway. I guess I can't be too surprised that I wasn't picked for a job or even called back for an interview. I just really feel like I majored in the wrong thing and I'm very discouraged at the moment.

I am starting to look at buying a car. I make about $600 a month. I am still in school so I can only work part time.

I know that loans are given based on various factors, but I just wanted to get opinions on me being approved for a loan realistically.

So as I said I make $600 a month. I have 4 credit cards that I pay on. So I guess that show some of my credit history?

I don't pay rent or anything since I live with my Grandmother. As far as school, I get pell grants and scholarships.

The car I want comes out to about 21K all together. I was thinking about putting 5k or 6k down.

Realistically, would I be able to get approved for a 14k, 15k, or 16k loan? I am a member of a credit union because they supposeldy have lower interest rates than big banks.

Any input is appreciated!

Okay so i am starting the process of buying a car. This is my 1st time buying a car that will be in my name. I want to get financing through my credit union.

Say I find a car that comes out to about $21,000 total price and I put $5000 down.

Do I go to my credit union 1st and say I want to finance a car for 16k or do I do that the day that I buy the car?

I am a college student and recently switched my major from Computer Sci to Info Tech. This fall will be the first time i take any kind of info tech classes, and i just had a couple of questions. I see there are a bunch of certifications you can get and i was just wondering which ones would be the best to get? i dont wanna end up working in some boring call center tech job. I'm interested in the actual data basis and stuff like that. What type of jobs would a college graduate with maybe a certification or two be able to apply for?

My parents make about $45,000 together a year. They are planning to file Married but separately. I looked at the EFC calculator and it said that i probably wouldnt get any kind of FA. i know my parents wont be able to afford to give me as much money as the pell grant would. Does their filing status matter? I told my mom to just not file taxes fot 14 at all and i could send the school a non-filer statement, and she just file her taxes at the end of the year. What should i do? I am already in college. I just was picked for FA verification for whatever reason. This is the first time that i have had to do any of this. For the last 2 years i have had my mom on my FAFSA as head of household because my mom and dad were separated. Now they are back together. Maybe thats why they want verification? idk

I just wanted to know who else has ordered that new Macbook Pro? Then ones that came out in gold, grey. and i think black. How long did it take for you to receive it? or are you still waiting? I ordered mine april 15 i believe and wont be getting it until the beginning of June. ive never had a Mac and didnt know they sell out fast like the iPhones do lol

The answer i got was D. But in the answer key it says the answer is B. i'm just confused on how it is B? I know that you add 42,000+100+78 =42178 because capital gains and interest are included in gross income. Then i subtracted 7000 and got to answer D. I wanna know what i may be getting mixed up or what i may be missing in the equation. Thanks!
