  • which derma e moisturizer should I buy?

I have no idea what my skin type is. But sometimes(rarely, twice or trice a year) it has dry patches. During the day ( I live in Singapore, average weather is 37-38 degree Celsius it's almost summer everyday) I get oily and shiny.

I'm looking for a light weight moisturizer during the day which will not make me look shiny and sticky after applying it. I heard derma e is a very good brand and they have a wide range of collection for moisturizer. If you have any recommendations pls let me know!

Other than that, if you are going to recommend another brand, please make sure iherb carries tje brand bcos I'm ordering from them

  • What frosting should I use for a chocoate cake will complys my family's taste?

ok so i'm gonna bake a chocolate cake for my dad's birthday which is around the corner. I used to use straight up butter cream frosting when I'm making a birthday cake which requires the cake being frosted and decorated.

However, my family doesn't like the taste of butter cream as it's too "buttery"? If that does makes sense

I know it's possible to substitute some of the butter for vegetable shorting but i do not want to use it.

Also, my dad can't take cheese. So cream cheese frosting is also out of the list.

I do have light corn syrup tho, I know i can make a swiss meringue frosting but i do not have any thermometer to check on the temperature of the sugar.

    help?

  • Using chocolate to make words to put on cake?

Can we use normal chocolate chips, like those mini semi-sweet chocolate chips etc, to make embellishments on cakes? Like, melt it and put it in a piping bag and pipe the words on a parchment paper and pop it in the freezer.

Would it work? I'm afraid the chocolates would not harden. I know we can use candy melting waffles (a.k.a candy melts) but i cant get it where i live at so i have to make do with chocolate chips?

  • digestives biscuits in crumb pie?

I'm havig too many digestives biscuits at home and they're about to expire soon.

So I was wondering if I could replace the pie crust for an apple/peach/blueberry crumb pie with crushed up digestive biscuits mixed with butter?

would the fruits produce too much liquid and ruined the biscuit base?
