    My kid got some Series EE savings bonds for his baptism. The ones where you buy a 100 dollar bond for 50 dollars now. How long until it is mature and able to be turned in for the $100.

  • Why do unmarried couples get tax perks?

    My wife and I are married. We both work, overlapping schedules and take care of 1 child. We get a decent tax refund as a result.

    My cousin got "knocked up." Both her and her live in boyfriend of 4 yrs work. But she makes less and gets super bucks back (nearly double ours) from the IRS cuz she is a single mom (Earned income credit, etc). Combined they make about the same as us but get so much more back because they are not married. How is this right?

    Is it arrogant of the US to call of of thier champions of each sport "World Champs?" i.e. World Series, Super Bowl, even NBA considers themselves World Champs?

  • Should wood bats be used in college baseball?

    Wouldn't the use of wood bats in college make sense.

    I figure with all of the money generated by sports like Football and Basketball it is easially affordable for most universities.
