  • samsung help?

My dad had an iPhone 5 for a being illiterate, used then siri function to read news articles and many other things while browsing the Internet. He recently switched carriers and got a Samsung Galaxy Avant (then iPhone was cracked and quit on him). What I was wondering is if there was a Samsung equivalent to Siri, or if there was an app or function that would allow him to read news articles and whatnot online.

  • Would you do it?

Okay there's this girl I've been attracted to for a few months now, we recently started talking but haven't been on a date yet. Anyway, she asked me if she could borrow some cash (it's onot 20 buck) for gas. It's not a great sum of money or anything, but is it a good idea to lend it to her?

  • Is there anything I can do?

Lately it seems like me and the girl that I've been talking to have been talking less. We don't really spend as much time together as we have in the past. I want to make an effort to try and retain her interest in me and salvage our relationship. Does anyone have any advice that may help my efforts?

  • A very difficult situation?

This girl that I've recently begun talking to just found out that he ex-boyfriend died. She ended it with him a couple of months before we met, and when she heard the news about him, she was devastated. I understand that she would be saddened by his death, because not only was it someone she knew, but it was someone she was fairly intimate with somewhat recently. I want to step back and allow her time to grieve, but ultimately I feel that it probably isn't a good idea to pursue her, as this unfortunate incident may have strongly deterred her from dating for a while. I guess my question is what should I do? Should I try to be patient and be there for her, or should I leave her alone?

  • How should I approach this...?

This girl that i want to talk to recently told me she got out of a break up not too long ago. I want to ask her out, but at the same time I understand that she may want time to sort things out. That being said, how long should I wait before trying to ask her out? Also, is there anything I can do to stand out while at the same time giving her space?

  • Is there a difference?

Last week I gave this girl I like my number instead of asking for her number. She texted me the following day, and we've messaged each other over the course of the weekend. what I was wondering is if there is a difference between a girl giving a guy her phone number, and a guy giving a girl his number? Do you think that the gender roles in this case could show a difference in intent (friendship vs romantic pursuits)?

  • Am I reading too deeply into this?

A couple of nights ago I made a silly bet with a female coworker (who i happen to like) in which I would stay off my phone during breaks for the duration of the week. Because the challenge was simple, and there was $10 to be made, I acquiesced. Now maybe I'm reading too deeply into this, but is it possible that she Instituted the bet in an attempt to get my attention? Also should I throw the bet? As I mentioned, I like her, and I don't want to seem like a jerk taking her money, but at the same time I don't know how she'd respond to me losing either.

  • So there's this girl...?

She works with me and I'm interested in her. She doesn't work in the same department as me, and I only see her during breaks. She doesn't talk much, so that sorta makes her seem all the more inapproachable. What should I do/say?

  • What to do and what to say?

I was introduced to this girl this past weekend. I was interested in her, but unfortunately I couldn't work up the courage to talk to her. She happens to be a close friend to a family member of mine, so I'm sure I'll see her again. I'm looking for advice to help me talk to her, possibly things to talk with her about.

  • Basking light recommendations?

I thought the light I got for my RES was an effective one, but it appears that it isn't. Can someone recommend an effective basking light? I'd prefer an inexpensive one, but I have no problem paying a little more for one.

I was thinking of buying a turtle for a pet (red-eared slider), and I was wondering exactly what all I would need to purchase for its habitat. If possible, could you provide a price range? Thanks!

  • Good playlist for a party?

I'm throwing a late birthday party this weekend, and I 'm trying to get together some good party music. While I don't mind a few throwbacks, I'd prefer some more recent and up to date songs...

  • What do you think I should do?

About a year ago, I became interested in a friend of my older sister's (not a good idea, I know). We joked and talked for a while, and eventually our conversations grew intimate. During the course of this, I thought she reciprocated my feelings of interest, and tried asking her out. She tells me that while she is interested in me, she doesn't really have time to go out (college student with jobs). She said that she hoped I wasn't upset, and that she'd try to avoid leading me on in the future. I did get a little angry, but couldn't argue with her predicament. I figured it was for the best if I avoided any unnecessary interactions. Our conversations over the last few months have been few and far between. This week my younger sister her birthday dinner and she was among the guests. She sat next to me, and spent the course of the dinner attempting to engage me in conversation. Not wanting to ruin the dinner or cause a scene, I did talk to her, but I tried to limit conversation short and talk to the other people at our table. Among the various topics of discussion, she says that we've grown distant, and that I could call and text her or that I was respectable and would make a good boyfriend. At the end of the dinner, my brother (who was at the table and heard some of these things), thinks that she's was flirting, and now wants to talk to me. While I'd like to believe that (because I do still have feelings for her), I still remember that the previous situation had similar moments, and would prefer more definitive proof. Should I try talking to her again? Is it even a good idea to do so?
