  • 38 Weeks Pregnant - Natural Induction?

I'm not going to take Castor oil. I know the dangers. I also know labor will come when it comes. However, I am curious as to methods other women out there have successfully used and how far along you were when they worked. Thanks for sharing!

  • 2 Year old with Tub Phobia?

My daughter who will be two Sunday suddenly developed a fear of the tub. Won't get in and screams. She doesn't even like to take a shower. It terrifies her. Anyways, this has been going on about a month. Has this ever happened to any of you and how did you get your child back in the tub? She has all the coolest and newest bath toys and things that change your water colors. She WANTS to get in but is scared. I believe due to the drain, but we never drain the tub with her in it. Anyways, any help of suggestions would be appreciated. I've read that most children don't get over this until 4 or 5. She's JUST turning two. That is two possibly three years. That CAN'T happen. Please help!

  • Is it a boy or a girl?

Have you ever been extremely disappointed to find out the sex of your baby? I had a 21 month old daughter and am 18 weeks 1 day pregnant and SO want another girl.

We find out Monday and I know if it's a boy I won't be as thrilled as if it were a girl. Of course, in the end, my husband and I want is a healthy baby.

Any other moms come across this?

  • First Time You Felt Your Baby Move?

I'm pregnant with my second child. This past Tuesday I felt my baby move for the first time at 16 weeks and 4 days. With my first pregnancy I always had the feelings of a butterfly. This, however, was very different.

It wasn't the either of the two typical responses you usually hear. Popcorn or butterfly. This was like the tiniest softest most subtle kicks. So subtle that if I were breathing I almost couldn't feel them. Already by today, at 17 weeks the movements are SO much stronger.

I was just wondering if anyone else out there has felt something different other than the popcorn or butterfly feelings when they first felt babies movements. What would you describe your experience as?

  • Cloth Diapering?

I'm pregnant with my second child and I was considering using cloth diapers after having seen how much money we invested into the disposables. However, I want the pre-assembled ones that are easy to use. I was wondering to the other mothers out there that have tired cloth diapers which ones worked for you and how much your total cost ended up being. Also please let me know if you had any problems with them.

    Thanks!

  • Trolls in the Pregnancy & Parenting Section?

Has anyone noticed the sudden increase in trolls in the Pregnancy & Parenting section or Yahoo Answers? I know I have and it's irritating. Don't these people have anything better to do? Is there anything we can do about it? I love my Yahoo Answers. It seems as if anytime I find something I love online bots and trolls take over....super irritating and I want to stop them! They are driving me insane and waisting my time. I open questions only to realize they are fake.

  • How Do You Discipline Your One Year Old? (14 Month Old)?

I was just wondering how you other moms and dads out there discipline your one year old. Well, children that are a year and over. My daughter who is 14 months is a wild one. Sweet as can be, but super smart which at times makes her hard to control. She acts much more like a two year old than a 14 month old. Her biggest problems are hitting, biting, and having tantrums where she hits her head on the ground for no good reason. Throwing food sometimes too.

I'm not concerned about any of this because I know many kids who have done things like beat their own head. Just attention seeking behavior which I do not acknowledge. She gets PLENTY of attention as I am a stay at home mother with no other children. Anyways, I was wondering what your child behavior was, how you addressed it, and their age?

Also, do you feel your child acts older than they are? Does your child who is close to this age have the same issues as mine or are we an exception to to the rule?

  • Autism and Vaccines - What Do You Think?

I know that there have been many similar questions related to this.

I was just wondering what you think though?

I am a mother. I do not have an autistic child. She is 14 months old and she is due for shots soon which I do plan on getting. I figure at this point that if she is going to be autistic due to shots that it's too late.

Anyways, I'm just looking for views from everyone. Parents, Non-Parents, Parents of Autistic Children, and Non-Autistic.

How do you feel on this? Do you yourself get your child vaccinated?

I'm not sure how I feel on the subject. If I feel that the shots are responsible or not. It was brought back up to my attention due to the recent court case and due to the fact that my child has shots coming up.

Please keep this nice and polite as a realize this is an extremely controversial subject. I'm just looking for opinions and views.

  • What is the best cure for a diaper rash that will NOT go away no matter how many time you applie zinc cream?

She's had this rash for forever and it WON'T GO AWAY! She's was never one for diaper rash before but since she has gotten this one it will not go away. I was just wondering some tricks other than plain old 40% zinc oxide diaper cream. Some one told me fungal foot cream, but I was just wondering if you moms or dads out there had and fast fixes? I've been putting cream on her at every change now for almost 2 weeks. I'm positive that it's not a yeast infection either. Hope someone has some trick. Thanks!
