  • Can I transfer to LaGuardia Community College with very low GPA?

I have made many mistakes in my 22 years of life, and screwing up my college years is one of them. After 2 years in college, I ended up with a 1.4 GPA. My head was in the wrong place, and I was very depressed and all that affected my academic performance. I've been out of school a year and I'm ready to go back to school. This past year has just made me fully aware of how serious college and each course is to be taken. I am so mad at myself for allowing my life to get to this point, where I feel stuck , and like I'm not progressing or growing. I am ready to go back school and take it 100% serious this time. I already know the consequences of poor academic performance and it is something I will never put myself through again as I regret it so badly.

Since my GPA is so low , I know my only possible option would be a community college. I do not want to go back to the school I was in before amd would rather just start again somewhere new. I live in NYC and I would like to try to transfer to LGCC or any other one. However, I see that all Community colleges require at least a 2.0 GPA to transfer. With a 1.4 GPA will it be possible for LaGuardia to accept me? Will any college accept me? I would die if my entire future is officially screwed because of those first 2 years of college I did poorly in.
