some dude
I am just some dude, 38 years young. I am a laid back guy, I tend to get along with just about anyone who is willing to get along with me. I am a conservative-christian. I hold some moderate and some conservative views. I am a single dad, an avearge joe. I am half asian from my mother's side and my father was mostly caucasion with some native american.
Would phrasing a sentence like this be considered a fear tactic?
"No one deserves to die because they don't have health care!"
I am not asking about pros or cons of the 'Public Option' but the way we phrase things in order to make a point. Is this a fear tactic?
I mean the phrase itself opens up the whole 'deserve' / moral argument. I agree with that part of the statement, but I don't think the assumption is correct. What say you?
23 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHow similar or different have the civil rights movements been for blacks, women and gays?
I am looking for what you think are solid differences or similarities in these movements, not the typical blah blah blah.
16 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHow many season's have the Angels had a winning record against the Dodgers?
Since interleague play began?
And how many seasons have they owned the Yankees for now?
3 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoHeard this guy say "we are still not equal"?
I was getting coffee at 7-Eleven, and a gentleman said on his phone "Even though they elected a black man president, we are still not equal." Not sure what to make of this, I know various forms of bias exist out there. But what do you think would prompt him to say this. Also, what would equality mean to you?
4 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoModerates and independents, who spews more guile?
I am sure every one is going to chime in, but I agree alot of partisan b.s. comes from both sides, but who spews the worst, the average (not the hardliners) liberal or conservative. And can you give me an example?
12 AnswersElections1 decade agoIsn't the liberal answer "your guy spent X dollars...."?
Isn't the liberal answer to how much Obama has spent (or signed off on), "Well Bush spent $X.XX" more like hearing, "Well your guys spent a ton, so we are going to triple it on things we want in half the time!"
9 AnswersElections1 decade agoBecause you guys love to debate it, what are pros and cons of Gay Marriage?
Looking for facts by example or facts by research. Will there be benefits to society or detriments?
How will it affect other rights? Would it? Would it not? Let's see the mud get flung a little shall we? I would like facts though, not emotions.
23 AnswersElections1 decade agoCan you define the term Neo-Con?
I am just curious if anyone can answer with an actual definition. There is an actual definition, but it seems that no one says Neo-Con and actually means what a Neo-Con is. I don't care if you are liberal or democrat or a Ron Paul supporter, can anyone actually tell me what it means?
Hint: I already know the answer.
16 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWho would hurt most from the Fairness Doctrine?
Considering that most of America believed that the Media wanted Obama to win. MesNBC is blatantly liberal. Fox actually has liberals.
Mass media has quite a bit of leftists. From comic books to TV, from the movies to popular music. Liberalism saturates the media.
So, who would really be hurt and why?
Note to all of you who I know will put rude comments, I actually have watched maybe 24 hours of Fox news, CNN and MSNBC in the last 4 years, so take it for what it's worth but it's not about any one news station.
21 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWho could run in 2012 for the Republicans?
If Obama does well he won't be beat, but if he does bad, he may only be hard to beat. I am just curious who people would like to see run on the Republican ticket. I like Romney and Huckabee and even Palin, but there time may be past them. J.C. Watts quietly pulled for Obama but I have always liked the guy. Crist, Pawlenty, Jindal and Sanford seem to be the up and comers. Duncan D. Hunter and little known Tim McClintock (I know he is a non-theist, but his record is outstanding, both with fiscal and social conservatives) could be major players in the future. I also wish that Joe Scarborough would get back into politics.
17 AnswersElections1 decade agoIf the economy tanks will Hilary pull a Reagan in 2012?
Just curious what people think, I hope that Obama can turn it around but if he can't do you think that Hilary will pull a Reagan, when Reagan ran for against incumbent President Ford in 1976 for the Republican Nomination?
17 AnswersElections1 decade agoHow do women feel about widowers?
I am a widowed father of two, I was married for almost 12 years and we were both faithful, I keep hearing stories of how relationships after the fact do not last because women (and men for widows) feel they can not compete with some one who is no longer around.
So truthfully are there women who see this as a problem or as something that does not matter?
Can I get a some detailed answers?
Thanks.

Just curious, I keep seeing the white for or against Obama, among other questions concerning minorities and Obama. So my curiosity is piqued, so seriously, any non-whites voting for McCain and why? If you can, tell us your race, I am just curious.
