In casual conversation, this guy I know mentioned to me how unattractive he found this female to be. It made me wonder, would he be hesitant to say something like that if he wasn't attracted to me? I know that I wouldn't talk about how unattractive someone is in front of an unattractive/self conscious dude for fear of offending them, but that's just me.

I'm not asking if he likes me or anything because that would be ridiculous...I'm just asking whether guys choose their words as carefully as we females do.

Since when did they allow cursing on MTV??? I haven't watched basic cable in a while, but not hearing the BEEP completely threw me off!

Being on this site, I come across these words ALL of the time...but I'm so confused.

When I graduated high school a few years back the whole "emo" thing was getting started, but back then it wasn't really connected with a type of lifestyle or style of dress...none of that.

I would ask around to see what exactly they meant by that..."emo." People used to say that emo was slang for an over emotional person...and over emotional people come in all types...but now, it seems like it has pretty much replaced the whole "goth" concept in terms of dress and behavior...ok, that's fine. Whatever.

But where does "scene" come into place? What the heck is that? To be frank, it all seems to be the same to me...like people are just trying to label themselves as something so that they can feel cool...I dunno...

I'm just curious about what all of these things actually mean, because clearly i'm out of the loop. I know it's stupid and pointless...in college i don't ever hear people even referring to any of this...which is why i feel so thrown when i come on here and see people just using these terms left and right like i've been living under a rock.

So please explain all this to me...just for the sake of clarification. As a matter of fact, give me a rundown on all of the social groups now...what ever happened to it just being the jock the prom queen the nerd the stoner and the loner????

And I just wanted to say how much I'm LOVING Julian right now. I absolutely love how they are making him to be this genuinely kind and loving guy in spite of his ***hole exterior.

I can't take it. I've been laying in fetal position for the past half hour because of the pain. I ran out of Midol's and ended up taking a 12 hour aleve about 3 hours ago. The aleve helps alot, but every now and then i will get spasms of pain for a while before they gradually subside over the 12 hour period. Do you have any suggestions regarding what i can do to lessen the pain without taking another pill?
