  • Help with choosing a new ball python?

So I need help deciding between two ball pythons. I want to Petsmart the other day because there are no breeders in the state that I live in. There was one they said kept Striking at the Tank but I later found out that he was actually just hungry so I guess it's not his fault. And then the other one is really shy and stays in a ball constantly and I heard that you're not really supposed to get a shy snake either. I'm just trying to decide between the two options of which one would be a better pet thanks. Any additional advice on them is appreciated also although I have read a whole book on them.

  • Which is better for blankets? Crochet or knitting? Easy 10 pts!?

I'm going to pick up either knitting or crochet. I'm wanting a new hobby. I'll mostly be making scarves and blankets. So which one should I choose/which one is easier/which one looks better for blankets? I heard with crochet your wrist can get sore because you're using just one hand, but then I heard that knitting is harder to learn and it takes longer. I would just like to hear everyone's honest opinions. Thanks!

  • Help with bird cage size? EASY 10 PTS!!?

Okay so I have a green cheek conure and I'm getting a jenday conure. I have cages for them now but I would like to get new cages for them. I was looking online so of course I can't see how large it is in person. But the cage I was looking it is 32"L x 20"W x 53"H (including stand) 35 H without stand. So I'm just wondering how big this is exactly and if it's big enough for one of my conures (I cage mine separately) or how you measure cages so I can get a tape measure and guesstimate at how large this is.. help? Thanks!

  • Opinions on getting a second bird? BEST ANSWER GETS 10 PTS!!?

Okay so I have a green cheek conure, I've had him for about a year now. We're pretty close he always has to be with me. The breeder I got him from has a Jenday Conure for sale that is absolutely beautiful.. I'm going to see if my bird and that bird will get along. SO if they do does anyone have any opinions on whether or not your bird forgets about you when you enter a second bird into the equation. I heard that they'll not be as close to you or want anything to do with you when you get a second bird. Any have any advice on this?

  • Just started a 55 gallon fish tank. Now what? EASY 10 PTS!?

Okay so I had a 55 gallon fish tank before but I did fish cycling(I didn't know any better at the time, and was so silly to listen to the guy at the store say it would be fine as he sold me 25 fish!) Okay so this time I'm doing a fish-less cycle, of course. I bought a brand new tank, everything in it is new filter etc.. So what's the best way to cycle fishless? Because of course the only way I've ever cycled was fish in! I can get some plants from my sister to help with bacteria and I'm using seachim stability for bacteria because I used it before and it worked great. Should I be doing PWC or no and how often if I do.. I know some people say not to at all with fishless cycling. I'm starting a cichlid tank. I'm going to go with african cichlids..does anyone have any cool suggestions on those either? Any advice at all will help. Thanks guys

  • Can I put my 55 gallon fish tank on a solid wood dresser?

Okay so I'm going to be getting a 55 gallon fishtank this weekend. I have a 6 foot long solid oak wood dresser that's short and long. Do you think my fish tank would be okay on the dresser? The cheapest stand around here is 100 dollars! That's almost as expensive as the tank! Thanks(:

  • How do you fill up/clean your large fish tank? EASY 10 PTS!!?

Okay so I have a 55 gallon fish tank that I filled up with a water hose and I would clean it by sticking my siphoner out of the winder and letting the water drain out of the window, but now I'm moving into a 2 bedroom apartment with carpeting. So none of this is possible now. So I was just wondering how you guys fill up your tank when cleaning AND how you filled it up the first time filling it up and how you clean it. Thanks!

  • Using air fresheners and I own a bird? EASY 10 PTS!?

Okay so I've had my bird now for about a year. He is a green cheek conure. I live in a large 2 bedroom apartment. I keep my bird in the back bedroom it's in the back of my apartment. I was just wondering if it would be safe to use plug in air fresheners in my living room and my bathroom. Of course I wouldn't put any in my bird room, but would it be safe to put it in my other rooms? Again, the plug ins not the spray! Thanks!

  • Scabies or bed bugs or what? Help! BEST ANSWER GETS 10 PTS?

Okay so I just moved into a new apartment. I got all of my furniture from my boyfriends grandpa which has been in storage for about 4 months. It's a mattress, couch, ect.. I started noticing red bumps that look like mosquito bites. They itch so bad that i'll scratch them till it bleeds, and then they'll scab over and I'll even scratch the scabs open! I probably have 100 bites or more now on my body everywhere. I have bites on my belly, back, legs, butt, armpits, boobs, not so much on my arms and hands though. It itches worse when I take a hot shower and seems to get worse at night. I know it's not fleas either so please don't offer that. I don't have insurance so I can't really go to the doctor. What do you think this is? And what can I do to get rid of it?

  • Starting a freshwater community tank. Help! Get an easy 10 PTS?

Okay so I'm going to be getting a 55 gal tank. I would like a community tank. I fell in love with the blood parrot cichlids but apparently they're aggressive and can't really be kept with other fish they'll eat/kill them. So what are good, compatible and pretty fish? Please and thanks!

  • Should I get a cockatiel or a green cheek conure? 10 pts!?

Okay so I'm stuck between a green cheek conure and a cockatiel. I'm wanting a cuddly bird. The two I have picked out were both hand fed. The green cheek is from a breeder and the cockatiel is from a local pet shop and the store owner hand feeds them but doesn't really interact with them whereas the green cheek is a breeder so he interacts with them. The green cheek is 225 though which i really dont have the money for right now and the cockatiel is only 60 dollars so im stuck! I'm wanting one that will live a while too. Any information for both these breeds is appreciated! Thanks!

  • Green cheek conure or Quaker parrot? 10 points to best answer!!?

Okay so I thought for sure that I was set on a Quaker parrot and then I see this green cheek conure come up. Now I don't know which one to choose! Ive been doing a lot of research on both. I have the time and I have a nice big cage. I'm looking for a bird that'll want to be with me and be more cuddly. Talking is a plus but not necessary. Also too I live in west Virginia which is a tiny state and there are no breeders here so I'm going to have to order a bird offline which I hate to do but I have to! We have one petstore but they're wanting literally 900 dollars for their conures an you can get them online fo like 250.. And they neglect their animals so the petstore is out. Price doesn't matter they're both around the same price. I just want a smart cuddly bird. Please help me decide or give your input!
