  • Nikon D800 focus fine tune Voigtlander 58mm 1.4?

Sooo everyone knows D800 has back focus problem. Mine is no exception & I been able to work around with with focus fine tune feature on Nikon lenses. I recently bought a Voigtlander 58mm 1.4 for Nikon, it is very nice, but on the D800 back focus ruins a lot of my images. Focus dot says the subject is in focus, but when a picture taken, the back ground is in focus. I am trying to add the lens to the profile so I can fine tune it, but so far I can not.

Anyone successfully add this lens to Nikon D800?

    Thanks in advance.

  • XPRO1 & Nikon SB800 & Pocketwizard?

I re-programed my Nikon pocketwizard (MiniTT1 & TT5) to basic mode so that it can be used on Fujifilm X PRO1 camera. Works fine, fire consistenly however the bottom 20% of the picture turns out dark (seem un affected by the flash) even if I point the flash directly at the subject. It is not the flash coverage is causing this for sure. because when I turn the camera sideway, the bottom (now verticle) 20% still dark.

Anyone gotten this problem? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Nikon Long Exposure Normalization?

Here is some background info to my problem. I am a Nikon(D700) shooter. Nikon has this "Long exposure Normalization" which is noise reduction for long exposure shots. The problem is that it takes time after the shot and the camera is locked up until it is done. I think it for 3 second exposure it takes 3 second to "normalize". This is fine for landscapes, but for fireworks, I want to be able to snap the next shot as soon as the exposure is done. Turning this option off will leave noisy image even at ISO 200 & 400.

My question is there a way to "normalize" the RAW file in post process using Nikon provided softwares? I use lightroom 3 noise reduction too, but just want to know if Nikon has it.

    Thanks

  • Nikon D90 bracketing?

So I am trying to do HDR with Nikon D90. Using braketing function. -1, neutral & +1 exposure comp. I set the camera on tripod, using IR remote to release. I notice the first shot always move a little bit. 2nd and 3rd align perfectly. It seems like the camera moved between 1st and 2nd shots. First I thought Vibration lense causing this so I have VR turned off. But the problem always there.

Anyone else having this issue with Nikon D90?

  • Night photography with yellow street light?

    Hello,

So I am trying to take night photo in SJ, CA area. As we may know them street lights are bright yellow. This screws up the color in the pictures. Everything turns nasty bloody red. I tried changing all WB option in my camera (Nikon D90) but none of them work. I shot all in RAW in hope to develop with correct color. Any tip for this issue is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Window Live Movie maker?

Ok to start off I do not edit movie often. I used to substitute sound for video and window XP movie maker did very well. The way I sync the old sound with new higher quality sound is though looking at the waves of the mp3 & movie and match them up. Recently I changed to WIndow 7 with window Live movie maker. I can not see the sound waves anymore therefore can not substitute the sound correctly. Is there a way to show the sound waves in this version? or MS just f*ck me over.

    Thanks in advance

  • Why truck rear axle on top of Leaf spring instead of bottom?

Just wondering why car/truck makers typically place teh rear axle of a truck on top of the leaf spring instead of on the bottom. Any advantage? or mechanial restriction of designing it this way? The reason I am asking this because I want a 3 inch lift for my truck, and in the rear it seems that just flipping the axle to the bottom of the leaf spring will achieve this without adding anything spacer.

    Thanks
