Is it possible for a TMJ mouthpiece to move your teeth?
I am being treated for TMJ for about 2 months now with a special mouthpiece created for me by a TMJ specialist. I am currently wearing it 24/7 except to eat. Hopefully that will change soon where I will just have to wear it while sleeping. The mouthpiece looks similar to what I see advertised for Invisalign to correct your teeth in place of braces, however, this one doesn't cover the front of your teeth, just snaps on to my upper teeth. It was custom made to my mouth and certainly wasn't cheap as dental insurance doesn't cover TMJ.
I'm just noticing now that my 2 front teeth are not even with each other. One tooth seems to sit more forward than the other when I feel it with my finger. I don't remember that before and I was wondering if, because this seems like the Invisalign, could this mouthpiece realign my teeth? My dentist said no, but since I don't remember my teeth being like this before, I was wondering if this is possible. Anybody know for sure - or have any similar problems with the mouthpiece?
2 AnswersDental1 decade agoCan you stay on Humana, qualify for Long Term Diversion Program & keep S.S.?
We're trying to get Mom into an Assisted Living Facility since diagnosed with terminal breast cancer at 84. Some tell us we need to take her off her Humana insurance and get her on Medicare, then Medicaid to get her on their Diversion program. Then some say we will lose her social security income if she is on the Diversion program where others tell us she will not. We are trying to see how much we can afford to spend for the ALF but get different answers. She's qualified for VA Assistance which we are already applying for, but we don't want to take her off Humana if we don't have to. Help!
2 AnswersFinancial Aid1 decade agoHow do I restore files backed up in "My Book"?
My computer crashed but I had been backing up files every night to a portable hard drive, "My Book". When I look at the backup files in that drive it seems there are SO MANY with SO MANY subfiles. What do I need to do to restore these files to my new computer? Do I have to restore them all, or only the latest date? I'm not sure if the latest only shows the latest changes or everything. What are the step by step procedures to recover these files? I can't find anything online to give me any idea of how to do it. Help!
2 AnswersDesktops1 decade agoWhat current TV character do you like so much that you would stop watching the program if they left it?
Who plays the part and what is the name of the program?
Why do you like the character so much?
I love Abby in NCIS played by Pauley Perrette. She has such a great personality, love for all of her co-workers, is so brilliant in her job, and can get away with anything with Gibbs who is so tough on everyone else. I don't think the show would be the same without her!
8 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhat would happen if they shut stock markets worldwide for say 2 wks to let people catch their breath?
Do the stock markets have to be open for all businesses to continue working? It seems right now everyone is in a panic as to what is going to happen to their money. I would think if we could stop all trading for a week or 2, this might give everyone a chance to figure out what to do to solve this crisis, and give people some peace of mind that they won't lose any money during that timeframe. Maybe after then they can think more clearly as to what to do.
Is this possible or would that just make matters worse once the markets reopened?
3 AnswersInvesting1 decade agoIf Eli Mattson (America's Got Talent) got a recording contract, would you buy his CDs?
What about attending his concert? Personally I was hoping he'd win and would definitely buy his cds & attend his concerts. I just love his voice & style of singing. Both he and Neil E. Boyd seem to be such genuine, humble people so I'm glad they made the top 2.
2 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoDo I need to keep all backup discs from auto backups on my PC?
I bought a new desktop PC with Vista, after my old computer crashed. It came with an auto backup feature which is great, however, each time it does a backup it 1st asks for the previous disc, then says it is creating a ghost, then asks for a blank disc with a new date & time to be written on it before backing up all of my files. I've only had the new computer for about 3 mos. but already have 7 backup disks. Do I need to keep each one, or only the last version? I heard with some backups you need ALL copies for recovery but that seems crazy to me. I could have 150 discs before I may need to use it for another new computer, if my current doesn't crash.
Also, if I only need the current copy, can I reuse the previous discs? I don't know if I can reformat and reuse or should just destroy.
1 AnswerDesktops1 decade agoWhen you export your Outlook contacts, do the originals stay on your computer?
Unfortunately my computer crashed at home and I want to make copies of the contacts I at least have at the office (plus back them up). I found directions on how to export but it doesn't say if that deletes them from their original location, or just sets up a copy. Thanks for any help you can give me on this!

and orders the "Chicken Surprise."
The waiter brings the meal, served in a lidded cast iron pot.
Just as the wife is about to serve herself, the lid of the pot rises
slightly and she briefly sees two beady little eyes looking around
before the lid slams back down. "Good grief, did you see that?"
she asks her husband. He hasn't, so she asks him to look in the pot.
He reaches for it and again the lid rises, and he sees two little
eyes looking around before it slams down.
Rather perturbed, he calls the waiter over, explains what is
happening, and demands an explanation. "Please sir," says the
waiter, "what you order?"
The husband replies, "Chicken Surprise."

12 AnswersJokes & Riddles1 decade ago25th Anniversary Car Show Entertainment Ideas???
Our Corvette Club will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary next year and we'd like to do something special for our car show that usually gets about 200 cars exhibiting. Unfortunately our budget is very limited because we are a non-profit organization and these shows are already expensive to put on. We already have a DJ and do the typical car show events - 50/50 drawings, silent auction, trophy awards, etc. Any ideas for something fun/different/entertaining? (Please, serious suggestions only.) 10 points to best suggestion!
