  • Laptop issues, power supply?

Hi, having some laptop issues, would love a brainstorm on what the heck is wrong.

For the past 2 years or so, my laptop has been intermittently dying while shut off, and will not turn back on. This happens every 4-5 months or so, lasts one month, then comes back on. There's no viruses in the computer.

When it works, it works fine, no issues, no crashes, no nothing. Then one day, after a completely normal shutdown the day before, it just randomly won't turn on. You press the power button and it goes blue (normal) for about 9 seconds then flickers out. Plugged in, unplugged, same story.

Ever seen or heard of anything like this? It's not a cord issue and because of the randomness of it, I'm inclined to say it's not a circuit issue... would love some help.

  • Why doesn't the NFL kick out violent criminal offenders?

It would be impressive if the NFL, in their infinite quest to overmerchandise the world, would simply not allow players back into the NFL after violent criminal convictions. Michael Vick fought dogs, Ben Roethlesberger is like a 3 time rapist now, there's someone convicted of "conspiracy to commit murder", Plaxico brought a gun into a club in his sweats, purge the trash and let the players without major criminal offenses be the heroes of the next generation.
