I'm a pretty easy going guy and I hate stupid people who need to have common sense fed to them. I'm a "no B.S." kind of guy, I will put it to you pretty straight. I dont need a need to sugar coat anything. If you get offended thats too bad, sometimes the truth hurts. Other than that I enjoy reading these blogs as it helps the time pass, and every once in awhile I get a good laugh.

  • Aftermarket decals..?

I am interested in "sprucing up" a boring 2004 Suzuki GSXR-600. The bike is currently yellow and black, mostly yellow. It's a good looking bike, never been laid down but I am in the process of re-gearing it and doing a bunch of other perfomance mods to it. I just want to bring it "back to life". Does anybody have an idea of where I may be able to either find replica reacing decals? Or simply aftermarket decals that will look better than the stock block lettering? Also, I was told by a rider not long ago that changing the decals on a bike isnt a smart idea, because when you go to sell it later on people will think you wreced it due to the fact that none of the decals are OEM. Is this really true?

  • Suzuki GSXR600 exhaust questions...?

Couple of questions, first off my bike has 9500 miles on it, and believe it or not it STILL has the stock tires on it. The steel belts are starting to show so Im obviously shopping for new tires. Im only in a budget for about $240-$250 and Im looking at some Michelin Pilot Power tires. Any luck with these if you've had them? They seem like a pretty good quality and priced tire. (Front and rear)

Also, I already have a Yoshi slip on pipe on this bike, but its not as loud as I want it, would I benefit (sound wise) by installing an aftermarket head pipe? If so, will I than need to put a power commander on the bike? Im not really looking to spend the money on one of those, dont need it that bad. I got talked into the slip on, which I like, but Im not sure if it really helped me performance wise...and like I said, I would like it to be a little louder.

  • Question for women about engagement rings...is this unorthodox?

I have been with my very loving GF for 3 yrs now. She has been with me through alot of thick and thin. I was laid off for 15 months and she still stayed with me, helping me pay my bills and buy groceries. I was getting unemployment but it just wasnt enough while I job hunted. Now that I am back to work she lives with me, keeps an AMAZINGLY clean house, cooks, does the laundry and almost all the general housework. I help out but she tells me that she feels like she should be handling all of this, as it is my job to go out and work and be the "handyman" around the house. I dont agree with this, but she feels very strongly about her female "roots" and chooses to play the housewife role. She is a very good support system and also has a great job as a school teacher. I feel that I am at the point where this is the woman I want to be with. She is obviously going to be a great wife, and hopefully mother as we both aspire to have children. We have almost everything in common and now that things are picking back up for me (now that Im back to work) I have been thinking about a good time to possibly propose. I am scared to do this as I am a young man of 26, I know that Im ready but its always weird to be giving up that freedom as a young man. Anyway, my question is..she wears NO jewlery, doesnt even have her ears pierced and wears no necklace's. She just isnt a very material person and I'm afraid she will be picky about a ring. Even though she never wears rings she tells me that she will wear one if its an engagement ring..I dont know if thats re-assurment that a bought one wont sit in a jewlery box, or a hint being dropped that she wants one..lol. But is it odd to have a girl help a guy pick out an engagement ring? After all I really dont know her size, style or taste in rings? I plan to spend around $2,000-ish. I know that can be alot, but I feel like she more than deserves it. I just want to make sure I get her something she will love, not "tolerate" cuz I bought it for her. I would be hurt if she didnt LOVE what I got her. I know this is a little unorthodox, but I also would like to ask her parents for permission, as I was raised old fashioned..is that outdated these days as well? I'm not really sure...

  • Questions about eating the right foods while getting back in shape...?

I recently decided to get myself back into a workout routine, and I plan on starting it next Monday. When the time comes I want to give everything up cold turkey. I havent drank soda in over a year, the same with eating fast food. I RARELY ever eat sweets or candy. Now those are about to go. I dont want to be a total health nut, but I dont need any of that stuff as I have excellent will power.

Anyway, as you all know if you follow an actual nutrition guidline they reccommend alot of foods that most frnkly cannot afford. I have no prob with chicken and fish, salad..etc. General "healthy foods" However I'm not going to go spend a fortune every week on nutritional foods they think I should be eating. The cost would begin to get outrageous.

First off, if I decide not to go by the guide, will I be ok simply eating healthier in general-aka:not buying all that ridicolous diet food? And second off can anybody either give me a websit or a list of sorts of decent healthy food I can eat, chicken, salad, rice cakes...etc?

    Thanks guys.

  • Question about nutrients and food while working out.?

I have recently purchased the P90X DVD's and I have been reading that they suggest you follow a strict diet. THey also give you a list of foods to eat and whatnot. Is it imperative that you follow this list? Would it be ok to simply eat healthy and leave all the junk food alone? After all it's very expensive to eat all the foods that they suggest. As long as I'm simply eating things like chicken, fruits and vegetables will I be ok? I guess the same would apply to any other workout routine. I just dont want to go and drop a buttload of money so I can eat better, when I can do that without following a pre-requested list of sorts...

Could you also suggest maybe a brand or protein powder (for shakes) that would actually be digestable and not disgusting..lol. This would be alot cheaper than power bars, or protein bars.

I just dont think it should cost a fortune just to get into shape.

  • P90X Workout DVD's, are they realistic?

I have recently purcheased the P90X workout DVD's. Has anybody here tried using it and does it really give you good results? I hear good things, but I know it's really hard for most people to stick with it. I'm sure it gets easier to stick with as time goes by, but I really dont want to commit 6 days a week to something that isnt going to give me results. Ansers, thoughts or comments would be helpful. Thanks.
