What's this 90's song?
I don't really care to listen to it, but it's strangely bugging me. Sorry if this is so vague. I remember hearing it in the 90's from kids commercials and stuff, I think it might have been pop punk or something. The chorus kind of goes like this: du du du, dududududu du du du, du dududududu du du du du. du du du.

There is a song that I am curious about. I do not know the name, but it sounds like it could be from the 40's or 50's, and the lyrics go something like "descending past the sky, and over (?) sea, (?) do de do du do" and the end is at the beginning if this song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrpMcCnPt7k
1 AnswerOther - Music7 years agoWeird flavor in M&M?
I just had the strangest experience. I was eating m&ms, and when I started eating one I felt this cool sensation in my mouth, and a strong aftertaste of rubbing alcohol. Should I be worried or something?
2 AnswersOther - Food & Drink7 years agoUnsure what to do?
I am currently facing a dilemma. I am currently doing an Associates in General Studies, and am 10 credits away from completion. I keep hearing that the degree is useless from my parents, who would like me to go back to the DTA (direct transfer agreement) if possible. However, I am having doubts. I have always been terrible at math, and the DTA requires at least a year of college level math. I would have to go through 3 math classes, the first one (Math 94, which is algebra) which I have failed twice already. I have just got my GPA back above 2.0, and have almost been on academic suspension from a bad run of failing classes (mainly math). I barely passed the business and personal mathematics class that was required for the AGS, and that was pretty simple mathematics.
I really would like to transfer on to a four year so I could get a bachelors degree (in either creative writing or film, since I have always bee extremely good at English) but I have this funny feeling that I will tank my GPA if I try and take the math classes. I might be able to skip the first of the three by taking the accuplacer again, but that wouldn't work for the rest (at least I don't think it would.) What should I do? Is a degree in General Studies worth finishing rather than attempting to take (more like gambling) the math classes, and possibly failing them, causing my GPA to crash?

I am looking for prog rock that constantly uses synths in every song. Like these:
2 AnswersRock and Pop7 years agoWhy do people forget about ebm?
Why is it on those youtube "genre" videos, they always forget ebm
like Die Krupps, Nitzer Ebb, Paranoid, Front Line Assembly, Noise Unit, Frontal, Orange Sector, Spetsnaz, ect, but they always have trance, house, techno and others? Same with many electronic forums and questions on here. Without ebm, pretty much all electronic genres wouldn't exist!
3 AnswersOther - Music7 years agoWhy am I afraid of telling my parents what music I like?
Ok, this probably sounds pretty weird. For some reason, I am EXTREMELY self conscious about my music taste, and what my parents might think of it if they found out about it (I've been hiding it for the past 5 years, so well that they think I don't listen to music). I like metal (most of the subgenres including weird stuff like avant-garde and jazz fusion), medieval music/rock, space rock, crust punk/d-beat punk, and old school ebm. Just recently during a get together with relatives, one of my older cousins asked what music do I like, and my mom said that I don't listen to any. I came so close to cracking and giving up the sham but I didn't, and decided to just tell another cousin who would understand. Of course, this doesn't help that I am also very introverted. For anyone who might ask, I'm 21.
4 AnswersFamily7 years agoIs going to a 4 year college right for me?
All my life, I've never been very "academically minded". I'm barely scraping by with a 1.9. I'm not a great studier, I'm absolutely horrible at math, and other areas of study I'm not interested to. The only thing I am actually great at is creative writing. However, there is a catch. In order to get an English degree, I have to somehow pass several math classes (one of which I have failed twice already.) I'm thinking that maybe I should just write a book, and complete my associates in general studies (I'm currently at a community college).
4 AnswersHigher Education (University +)7 years agoQuestion about uploading music?
Are you allowed to reupload music to a file sharing website if the music was free to begin with?
A one man band called Senmuth has all his albums avaliable for free, but a good chunk of the links on his homepage are broken. Is it ok to reupload them to a different site, or what?

Seriously, I have not found any good explanation. Do not quote Wikipedia, give me your definitions and maybe post some examples?
4 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoWhy do people confuse Grindcore with Metalcore/Deathcore?
Seriously, there is no relation. It may have "core" in it's name, but the influences and sound are worlds away. How does metalcore/deathcore sound like this:

or this:

or this?:
2 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoWhy do people keep saying that certain bands are metal?
You might think that I am an elitist, and I agree with that opinion. However, there is simply a point where common sense must come into play. Just by browsing some questions on the first page, people are listing so many non metal bands it just blows my mind. Granted, there are metalcore and deathcore bands that fall on the side of metal (If the band is listed on Metal Archives, it is deemed metal in my opinion, some examples would be Rings of Saturn, Beneath the Massacre, etc), but then people say stupid stuff like Creed or whatnot, and it drives me crazy. When are people going to educate themselves on band's actual genres? Can they not find better places than Wikipedia? I answered a question about "new metal bands" and got downvoted, all because the bands are actually metal! I've had enough with people who won't educate themselves on metal genres!
5 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoLooking for funk bands?
I am new to the world of funk, and am looking for funk bands that sounds like these songs, with the funky bass slapping and synths. Normally I like metal, crust punk, and space rock, and want to continue finding awesome bands.

1 AnswerJokes & Riddles8 years agoThis is so weird, what is going on?
So, today I was supposed to be working at Mcdonalds from 5:30 to 9:30. When I got there, I only worked for 15 minutes and then they told me to go home. Why are they doing this? My hours have decreased to one day a week. If this matters, I was hired as a favor from a friend of my dad's, who knew the manager. I also have a twin brother who is working there also.
3 AnswersFood Service8 years agoWhat screamo band is in this song?
I do not like screamo, nor are interested in it. I'm just curious about what band plays from 0:00 - 0:17, since it sounds like actual screamo and not post hardcore or metalcore. Feel free to listen to the rest of the song though (yes, the singer is a parrot.)
