  • consumer advice laptop?

    i brought a laptop from a well known pc store in march. it wasn't a cheap one. now windows is telling me the hard drive has failed and i need to replace it. so i contacted the store i brought it from and said i wanted it collected and a refund. after three emails to them they have come back saying they want me to return it for repair, if they can't repair it they will replace it with the same make and model.

    i can't be without a laptop as i rely on it, nor do i want a machine i can't trust. am i entitled to stick to my guns and get a refund.. the way i see it a laptop with a failed hard drive is not fit for the purpose i brought it for...

  • DLA Appeal, Doctor coming to visit?

    ok was advised to apply for DLA back in March, got turned down as you do, asked for a review again turned down so asked for an appeal, i have provided further evidence from the hospital, ie.referral to pain clinic with medical history and MRI results which show exactly what my problem is and that nothing can be done to fix it. the Tribunal are now sending a doctor to vist me, is this normal, (i know the DWP do this but i didn't realise the Tribunal did too) so if anyone else had the same experience, are they nicer than the DWP docs and is it a good sign that they are taking my case seriously?
