  • Juice and powdered formula on board a Delta flight?

Im flying within the US tomorrow with an 11 month old. Does anyone know how much powdered formula and juice I am allowed to have in his diaper bag on board? Also, if you want to gate check your stroller does it HAVE to be an umbrella stroller? or can it also be a "full size" stroller [the kind that comes in a travel system, the exact stroller is a Chicco Cortina]

I called customer service but "due to extreme weather conditions they cannot answer my call at this time". Im leaving my house at 5am for my flight, so i need to know tonight.

(i also asked this in air travel section but i figured i would post it here too since some other moms might know from experience)

  • Does it make you cringe when you see things like "Proud Teen Mommy"?

being a 19 year old mom, it really annoys me to see this. being proud of yourself for conquering the odds of teenage pregnancy, and being proud of your child is one thing but does it make you cringe to see girls that have "Proud Teen Mommy" or "Im a teen mom and im PROUD of it!" on their facebook or their names/profiles on here? being proud to be a MOM is normal, but the fact that you are a TEEN mom isnt anything to be proud of.

    Agree or Disagree and why.

  • Other teen or young moms?

Do you stick up for other teen or young moms just because you know the "trials" and extra difficulties that teen and young moms face, or when you see a "stereotypical" teen mom/young mom does it make you just cringe? Also, when you see girls on here that are 17 and younger and pregnant do you automatically think that they will probably be one of the "statistical" and "stereotypical" teen moms? what i mean by the stereotype is going out all the time, leaving her baby with family/parents, not growing up or taking responsibility, thinking she still should be able to do things on her own time, putting other things before her child.

  • 20 weeks pregnant with no weight gain?

is it normal to be 20 weeks and not have even 1 pound of weight gain? im not overweight or underweight, im 5'9" and 155 lbs. I still have 20 pounds of baby weight from my first (hes almost 11 months). My belly IS showing and getting bigger, and my baby is growing normally. I have a healthy diet and eat whenever im hungry, but i am on my feet a lot because i have a mobile baby. I dont know why i havent gained any weight, i gained almost 50 with my first [i am not wanting or planning to gain that much weight again lol]!

  • I just found out im going to have to have a planned c section, HELP?

I have a 100% circumvallated placenta and a large placental lake, today at my OB appointment she told me that im going to have to have a c section between 37-40 weeks [depending on several factors] because of the circumvallate. This question isnt about wondering whether or not she is right, she fully explained everything to me and there is no other choice unless a miracle happens and my circumvallated placenta decides to undo itself, which isnt likely since im only 19 weeks and its already 100% circumvallated. What i want to know is what it is like to have a c section? I have 1 other child and i had a quick and easy vaginal birth with him, induced at 38 weeks [and a totally uneventful pregnancy, he was just big]. I have had surgery before but of course not when i was awake! What all do they do exactly? And what should i expect during recovery?

  • Am i the only one who thinks this is wrong?

when, lets say, a 17 year old gets a 14 year old pregnant and the 17 year old gets in trouble for "statutory rape" just because the girl was 2 years underage but was in fact consentual of the sex. A young teen is capable of making his or her own decisions, bad ones and good ones, and the law shouldnt put the guy in jail just because he is 3 years older.

Am i the only one who thinks its bull? Im not saying that what the hypothetical teens did in this hypothetical situation was good, or right...im saying that i dont agree that it should be statutory rape.

  • Does your OB do a U/S every time you have an appointment?

At my OB i get an u/s on a little u/s machine that she brings room to room with her, the screen is like 5 inches across. I know that most OBs dont do this, but im just wondering if there is anyone else on here that has an OB that does this. Its not because of anything wrong with my pregnancy, she does it to everyone.

  • Breastfeeding question?

I know that as your baby grows your milk changes to meet her nutritional needs, but what if you are breastfeeding, lets say, a 15 month old and a newborn? Would you need to stop BF the 15 month old even though the AAP recomends breastmilk until 2 years of age?

im not trying to start a controversy over what age one should stop BFing in general

  • Why do so many people NOT "want" an only child?

I understand that they want to have more than one, but why are so many people stuck on not "wanting" an only child. Does your child somehow change if you dont have any other children?

  • What is your opinion about this article on teen motherhood?

    http://www.livestrong.com/article/12504-teen-pregn...

Under "treatment" only 1 of the places they list do not flat out tell girls that they should abort or give their baby up for adoption, and the 1 place that isnt flat out telling them is still a place to get an abortion.
