Receiving repeated phone calls from the same company (it might be a debt collector but might be something else we don'e know) asking for information on someone known many years ago but haven't seen or had contact with for over 5 years. We've asked for them to stop calling but they are continuing to call and will not give out any information about themselves. A side note is a concern of why the person in question used my wifes information as someone to get in contact with and what else they've used it for.

I know normally they would need to fill out a 3958, but I've also read CA considers separation when:

In California, community status ends when marital/RDP partners physically

separate with no immediate intention of reconciliation. Income earned after

community status ends is separate income.

The couple in question in this case have lived apart for multiple years and are going thru divorce paperwork but it has not been signed until 2016. On their 2015 returns do they need to file 3958 if they've been apart all year and don't have community income or property?

Should someone waiting on a K1 from a Partnership going through bankruptcy file an extension and wait to see if the bankruptcy is concluded by Oct 15th? Or could they file and amend later? Their basis in the partnership would not be greater than the actual loss. They'll be receiving a substantial refund from overwittholding on their W2, so they're pretty anxious to file.

I know that if a Sole Proprietorship makes a charitable contribution it moves to the taxpayers Schedule A. Would an owner that donates a dessert bar to an auction raising money for someone with Lukemia be able to write off the value of that donation on their schedule A?

I'm being asked what I would want for Antonio Brown in a 0.5 PPR league that has punt/kick return yards also. He puts up good points every week. I picked him in the 5th round this year, I told him I would only be trading for draft picks as I've had the worst luck running into monsters this year and my record is awful. What draft pick should I ask for next year for this trade to happen? I was thinking 5th round, but I don't really know and this is the 1st year I've dealt with draft pick trading.

I really don't like Chris Johnson in my flex this week. He's going against the NYJ who's given the least fantasy point to RB's this season, he's gimped on goal line with Jackie Battle (and Greene when healthy), and he's no threat in the passing game.
