  • Did the Vietnam War have any correlation with the Cold War?

Was the cold war escalated due to infiltration of Vietnam? Vietnam was a country that was under turmoil within the country, and US involvement made things worse. US landed in Vietnam to gain a foothold in the Asian hemisphere, just as Russia did with Cuba. Why did these occurrences take place at the exact same time? Was there any relation between the two events, or was it just a coincidence that the Vietnam War was taking place during the Cold War.

  • What should I pursue, Business or Engineering?

I am currently attending Indiana University, and I am trying to get into the Kelley School of Business. I enjoy business because it comes so easy to me. I have a lot of common sense. But, I think that I could be putting my common sense to a better use with an Engineering degree. I really enjoy working with my hands, and I am very quick to learn new things. Engineering seems like the right option, but I am not sure if I should pursue it.

So, my question is what should I pursue? It is my first semester of college, so if I did decide to transfer, I would only lose a semester of classes. Is the salary, workload, and semester of classes worth giving up? Is business a better degree to pursue than Engineering? Is my social life going to be in peril if I decide to study engineering? Or, should I just wait and finish this full year at IU and decide afterwords.

Thanks to any opinions, first hand accounts, and anyone who just wants to provide their two cents.

  • Continue college or join the military?

I am a freshman in college, and I thought this was the right choice. I've been here for about 3 weeks now, and I haven't really found it enjoyable. I thought I wanted the "college experience" (parties, girls, school, no parents), but now I'm finding that I never really wanted any of this. I have really been looking into the military, particularly the marines. and I looking for some advice on what I should do. I want to make a lot of money when I'm older, and I know that if I drop out of college this will be very hard to do. I am a very smart person with a very good GPA, I just am not really finding college my thing. Any Opinions?

  • Should I enroll in the Military or go to a University?

I am a junior in high school and I was wondering if it would be smarter to go straight to the academies, or if i should go to college and enroll in rotc. I am pretty smart with a gpa of 3.8. I am also wondering if I should even go into the military. I am not sure whether to go into the military world or civilian world. Any advice would help.
