  • Tylenol overdose question?

A very close friend of mine admitted to me that last Tuesday (it is now Monday evening) she took 60 500 mg rapid-release Tylenol drugs. She is afraid to see a doctor because of what she might find out. She has made an appointment with her psychiatrist (she is being treated for bipolar disorder) and will be seeing him first thing in the morning.

After the overdose, she vomited twice, but saw no pills or pill fragments in the vomit (either dissolved or absorbed). Afterwards, there was a period of about a day when she didn't feel sick. She then said her eyes have a very light yellowish tint to them (I can't see it, but she says she can), more nausea and vomiting and mild, intermittent upper right abdominal pains.

Is there a chance of a negative outcome this long afterwards? All the research I've done says that significant liver damage is noticeable 3-4 days post-consumption. Is there a chance she did some lasting damage to her liver? It's been almost a week, and there's been no significant pain or discomfort since the initial vomiting.
