Didn't necessarily cross breed since they are the same just different color variation! Came out with two toned fish straight down the body yellow on top and white on bottom!did the leg work and can't find anything anywhere on the Web that is near the same! And it's only with a certain male and a certain female that some of the offspring came out looking awesome! I don't want to make money on it or anything but thought it would be cool if I could legally name a fish! XD Thanx in advance...

Hi I rescued a puppy and got her first shots today along with a dewormer! This afternoon she either pooped a really really long or mutlipe long what I'm guessing is roundworms! Look like spaghetti noodles basically! And she's still pooping smaller ones! My question is shes still small like large chihuahua size and she's a pit/lab mix and roughly 8weeks old going by teeth but anyway question is should I be worried about the size of the worms? I know there can be several dozens of worms which I take it is normal after research but the sheer size of the worms is baffling! Haha I hear up to 48 hrs till adults are passed and more dewormings are needed 1-2weeks for the next couple months? Any and all info on round worms would be greatly appreciated I could prolly find more info but the size thing is Wut worries me!

I'm wanting to start my reef tank from the bottom up and really slow that I don't start getting a bunch of stuff that I don't want later! OK so its a 125 gallon long tank! Now my first goal is to get the tank full of water and started on the cycling process! But my main question is will a hob refugium/protein rated at 75 gallons work if i use two? Now this is just to get me started plus I haven't really heard anything bad about them and their cheap enough for me to get started! Eventually I want to get a big refugium and Skimmer plus anything else I might need! This will be my first real Saltwater tank not to mention reef tank! I'm a cichlid Guy but my 180gal is getting boring! So this 125 gal should make for a good show tank in my living room!

Also any and all info will be greatly appreciated like I said on new to the game and wanna get it right! Also does the hob setup I'm talking about sound good for what I'm tryen to accomplish?

Hint: im surrounded by thousands of people in the middle of nowhere in southeast California! !!!

Just got 180 pounds of live sand for my 180 gallon so how much water does that displace?? I.e. how many gallons of water do I have left?

So I wanted to have two FX5 canister filters which would of set me back over $500! The big problem with that is that I would only be able to house one underneath my 180 gallon tank stand otherwise I would have had to cut into some structural pieces! Anyway I was going to go with two emperor 400's with two powerheads attached to sponge filters! ! For a total of 1400gph! But after loads of research and review checking I found that the aquaclear 110 filters were better! So I came up with this setup!....

Two aquaclear 110 filters teamed up with two aquaclear 70 filters and hydro pro sponge filters attached to each one!

And thought ... one fx5 $250.00 vs all the stuff I just listed at $249.75!!!

I think im saving alot and putting good use to the filtration system!!!

With 1600gph on this setup almost triple the true amount of the fx5!

So what's your opinion on this!!!

Almost forgot to mention I still have the marineland 1140 powerhead with sponge filter at 300gph also! And two wavemakers for circulation in dead spots if I have any!!!!

So im getting ready to start my 180 gallon but of course am going to have to cycle for awhile! Im going to order the fx5 and fill it with cycled water and let it sit for about a day before I start it! Also im going to take a few things from my cycled tank and place them in the 180!

Question is how long can cycled water stay cycled if left alone in say a bucket or cooler?

I want to speed up the process by using lots of cycled water in the tank im thinking bout 60-80 gallons worth within two weeks!

That would involve leaving this water in the 180 little by little!

Would the bacteria die off without any type of circulation? ??

Any help or comments would help!!

Also any tips! I never had a tank this big so not sure on speeding up the process! !!

So I recently started watching the big bang theory! And was wondering about the men's characters jobs! They're all genius and work at some science place but do they're jobs actually exist? Looking up other peoples research, theoretical stuff? Can you actually git paid for that?

As we all know blue pitbulls are prone to skin irritations and allergies!

Anyway Ive already got him on a diet of blue buffalo for previous allergies but now he has a lot of redness sort of raw moist skin around his balls, its on the sides where the sack meets the legs!

So I've tried tinactin and anti fungal stuff but he just licks it off!

Does anybody have any advice or home remedies that might work?

I was thinking a medication that taste nasty so he wont lick it?

Anyway just looking for some quick remedies if anybody has dealt with these type of issues! !

Im gunna take him to the vet if I can't find anything that'll do the trick!

So I've had this peacock eel for like 3 months! Now that the tank is full of decor I never see him at all until I do water change and pull the decor out!

Now I don't mind that I don't see him much the problem is feeding him!

For the ones who know my tank its a cichlid tank so its dammed hard to get blood worms to him unless I see where he's hiding and use the baster!

He's still alive kuz I see him when I do my weekly water change but for the past 3 weeks that'd the only time I see him, he doesn't come out at night anymore! !

Im a night owl so every 3 days I sneak some worms in there around 3am when alot of the fish are comatose!

Im just worried that he's not eating enough so should I get rid of him? ? Is there a better way?? Im stuck!!!

I was gunna transfer him with everybody into the 180 gallon but then I might be in the same situation! !!

What do you think????

I have cichlids and a few other species and so far have given them cucumber! They love it!

Ok so I've decided to put an egyptian theme in my new tank which after exact glass measuring have found that its a 180 gallon!

72x24x24

Anyway I want to put 3 pyramids ranging from 10"-12" roughly and about 12" wide at the base!

I also want a descent sized sphinx in there!

The other stuff like the river and the trees I got but these big ones are hard to figure out!

Now I was looking for large 3degyptian puzzles that I could just resin and seal but all I can find that's anything near to the size I want is a sphinx but its ugly! Haha

And the pyramids are way to small so Im thinking about maybe doing the pyramids by hand in foam!

But I've never done this before!

And the sphinx would be super hard to do I would think!

So question is does anybody know where to get any of these things in the size im looking for?

Should I try the foam?

Any suggestions would help!

Ok so im finally getting my 180 gallon tank and am wondering what would be best for filtration? I was thinking some of the external filters, I've heard those homemade ones do great too, and what about refugiums? Any help with details would really help! This will be a tropical fresh water tank mostly cichlids of mixed variety and a few other species! So yea info on what filtration you suggest and why would really help! Best answer gets 10 pts! Thanx
