  • Curious about graduate school in NZ?

    Just a little curious about how the system works in NZ.

    I'm a mathematics major with about a year left.

    Do universities in NZ usually offer TA ships? ( ie, do they pay for you? )

    I believe I read that you cannot apply for a phd program without having completed a masters, unlike here where you can jump right into the program and pick up a masters along the way. True?

    How about public transport? On campus housing?

    right now i'm looking at Auckland. Haven't really made up my mind yet though =).
