I've been doing research on borderline personality disorder (bpd) and i'm pretty sure i have it. i've yet to see my doctor about this, but will be seeing him in the next two weeks. anyway, since i've discovered the possibility of having bpd, i've been debating if i should tell my boyfriend (who i live with and am raising a child with). we've been in a relationship for almost four years now. though for the past year has been difficult due to arguments and threats of me leaving the relationship, i still sometimes want to stay with him.

i need help in deciding to stay with him. he is a good guy, but i know he would not be supportive of me being diagnosed. he is the type of person who doesnt want anyone in his/my/our business (a therapist), he is the type of person who believes people who cut themselves only do that for attention, he is the type of person who thinks that drs just give dx loosely (like me being dx with ADD). i dont think he will be supportive and understanding of it.

on the other hand, he does put up with my crazy moments where i get somewhat physical and persistantly annoying, etc.

help please!

Last Thursday was the last time my three month old son pooped. He has, up until last Thursday, been solely fed breast milk. I’ve tried to give him straight formula, but he wouldn’t drink it, only gagging on it. So I emailed the lactation consultant at my hospital. She said that it would be fine to mix formula in with the breast milk. So last Friday, I starting mixing 2oz of Similiac Advance with 3oz of breast milk. I’ve continued mixing the two together because I’m starting to lactate less. Yesterday(Monday, day 4 of no bowel movements), I emailed his doctor and she said to switch to a different formula and massage his stomach, but didn’t seem too concerned. So yesterday I picked up Enfamil Gentlease for babies with fussiness or gas. Nothing I’ve been told to do has worked and I’m very concerned. What should I do?

Ps. He doesn’t have a distended stomach and doesn’t seem to be in any pain. He is gassy, but has been since he was born.
