  • How do you perceive this, "I don't want to cheapen this new relationship by bringing her back to our bed."?

Guys help a girl out. So this young girl at LSU has a male roommate. This is the second semester and somewhere near the end of last semester they started sleeping in the same bed. They tried the whole sex thing but basically found it wasn't for them. They are content to cuddle each other.

But after a month or so, they both stopped trying to date other people. The cuddling went on for about 2 months. Then the guy decided he wanted to start dating other people again. This girl figured they'd stop cuddling and just go back to separate beds. He said that he wanted to keep cuddling and then said the statement above.

He didn't say he didn't want to cheapen their relationship. He said he didn't want to cheapen the "new" relationship.

She was completely confused by what he said. This is my second time as a student and even though I'm an older, well-seasoned student - I've never heard anything like this. I can't even begin to give her advice.

Do any of you know what he's trying to say???

  • Do you ever dream of someone and actually feel the pressure and heat of their touch?

It only happens with one person in my dreams, no matter how different he looks, it's always him and I ALWAYS feel his touch. Am I the only one? Are there others out there that feel their dreams so tangibly?

I don't mean falling down tangible, or flying tangible, but someone kissing your fingertips or squeezing your hand? It feels so real, I'm always amazed...

  • Who knows ICP music? Is the number 348 special in any way?

I've heard the band has sprung up gangs amongst young teens. Recently, a ICP teen started writing fraudulent checks and I'm wondering why he used the number 348 over and over. Thanks!

  • How should I protect my son? He turned in a kid at school and I worry there may be repercussions.?

The sheriffs picked up the kid and took him to jail. The kid stole money from his grandmother to fund a drup party this weekend.

  • Does anyone know how to contact truck drivers going to CA?

What happened: The College I worked for announced that it would be cutting it's work force (I only worked 4 hours a day), the Logging Mill announced that it would close down in 2 years. There are only 6,000 people in my town. My Brother said there were tons of jobs in Phoenix. So I left and drove there. In the 4 days it took, 4,000 people got laid off – competition was terrible. Then a crazy person drove out of a parking lot at 35 miles an hour into my car – it was toast. My sister came and got me and moved me to Baton Rouge, but after 8 months, I still don't have a job that would allow me to take care of my son. Then on top of it, he came here for a visit and decided that he didn’t like it at all.

First, I want to be with my son. Second, I want to go home and go back to school.

The Problem: I'm broke. I'm down to my last $200. 8 months without work has been brutal.

I can’t afford to pay for a car rental or to fly.

  • Should I offer web-camera conferencing as an option for a job interview?

I am trying to move to Phoenix or L.A. I put a resume on Monster.com and got my first nibble. The only problem was they asked me to do a job interview the next day less than 24 hours after I posted. I live 14 hours away. So I asked them if they would consider doing a job interview through the Internet. The College I work for has a snazzy set up where you can visually see up to 10 different groups of people all over the state and have a conference call. It's real-time conferencing.

It seemed to scare the business away, even though I and the College were willing to set everything up for them. If they had given me 2 days to drive there, I could have gone in person, but with so little time to physically get there, I thought it was a Great second option. And I thought it showed that my present employer supports me.

Should I offer that as an option. To me, it shows resourcefulness and computer savvy. What do you think?

  • I have the most basic Yahoo mail. How do I add a picture to the Signature?

It seems easy enough, but I can't seem to make it happen.

Any ideas would be great. Or if you know a great website for an electronic business card, that would be nice too.

  • Does anyone know what Stephen Stills' "Dark Star" refers to?

Everyone knows this is a love song made popular by Crosby, Stills and Nash.

But most people would call their lady love "Morning Star" "Beloved Star" or something equally sappy.

Why does he call her "Dark Star"? It seems like polar opposites. Does anyone know the history?

  • Any ideas for Son who doesn't understand English mechanics?

Because my son is an only, he has heard College level English his whole life. He began writting college level papers in 4th grade, but by 8th grade its became apparent that he doesn't understand the mechanics and he's failing. He also has difficulty retaining what he's read. He can read a tom clancey sniper book, put it down, come back to it days later, and not remember anything. He has to start over and begin at the top.

At this point he feels stupid and like a fake. When he writes a paper and gets an A, then writes another paper and gets a D, he can't see the difference.

At 13, no one should feel this stupid.

I've tried approaching the formation of a paragraph, sentence and paper from a purely mathmatical formula approach, and that works as a backdoor to learning, but it doesn't seem to help from the beginning.

Any ideas would be great. I've got him on niacin and peanut butter to help with the spacing out tendancies, but just barely...

  • Single Mom. When to introduce Teen to new Love?

I am not going to date. There is only one man for me and has been for decades. He has simply been traveling around the world too much to consider having a real realationship. Now he's ready to settle down.

He knows I have a son and my son knows I've asked K.C. out.

Everyone is happy with the knowledge of this.

If and when K.C. decides to go out, at what point should I introduce them?

  • What's the best way to mow an "L" shaped yard and deal with uneven ground?

The ground is made out of red clay and I'm actually shocked that grass is even growing in it, but the gopher trails have now hardened into clay bowls and tubes.

How do I get it to a healthy loam?

    Thanks!

  • How do you say the right thing, when you've traded amazing love letters, 2 R single, yet he still hesitates?

At first the letters were about dreams not love, then it grew. We tried to meet 3 times, 1st he drove by (but I was ending a relationship), he missed 2nd (don't know why), I missed 3rd (I had flu that killed 15 year old in our small town), now both are free, but he is hesitating still.

How do we bridge the fear? This is like the movie Lake House; 4 - 6 years later.

I just don't know what else to say. It's hard to reach out when everything has been stripped away and only your heart is left, exposed and you are still willing and he is asking?

    "Is it worth it?"

For me, everything will have been in vain if we don't at least meet and try.

For our ages, we are both still cute, have our teeth, our hair; it's not about looks.

It's about risking having your heart ripped out "again."

    I'm willing he's not.
