Why help all Americans with health care reform?
Why do we have to have a bill that wants to help all Americans with health care reform when not all Americans need help and the poorest among us can already get help under the current system. I know someone who had triple bypass surgery done and didn't have to pay a dime and are currently paying less than $50 a month for medication. They do not have any insurance. I knew a person who didn't work a day in their life because of disabilities and they had all the healthcare they needed paid for, for over 30 years (including a pacemaker, antibiotics, hospital visits, a kidney stint, motorized wheelchairs, etc). Why do we need to completely change the current system?
3 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoLet it all fall...........................................?
I have seen alot of people say we should let it all fall down. Then you have those saying 'oh don't you realize what will happen everything will get bad.' I propose that people who say they want the bailout know full well what will happen. Our economy will fail and each individual will feel it- but in the long wrong once the smoke clears we will be able to rebuild in a sound manner. We aren't stupid and some of the same people calling us all sheeple are the same people telling us to stop listening to our guts and head and follow what the talking heads say on TV. We know the bailout is wrong we know not doing it will hurt but we also know that letting it fail is the right thing to do for the long term interst of the United States of America.
5 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy is it ok to eat...?
Why is it ok to eat salty fish eggs and raw fish but its not ok to eat cooked moose? People make fun of Palin for eating the normal parts of a wild animal but its ok for Obama to each uncooked meat and fish eggs. I don't think this is a real issue and why do people try to make it so?

8 AnswersElections1 decade agoWill The People reform the economy in November?
It doesn't matter how many facts you post. The level of cognitive dissonance is insurmountable. Das Furher Obama can do no wrong. Any time anyone tried to reform the subprime mortgage market it was blocked by democrats. "You just dont want black people to own houses." The regulations forced banks to make loans that shouldn't have been made or they would recieve penalties from the federal government. If you got into a mortgage you couldn't pay it didn't help you it simply put you in debt. The bailout isn't going to directly help people with mortgages- they will still have to pay. The $700 billion dollar bailout will go to organizations that were forced to make very poor decisions as if they needed help doing that. If people who were for "building the economy from the bottom up" they would have given the money to the bottom.
Republicans have not been the beacons of free market capitalism either. This bailout is completly and utterly counter to any free market. Free markets are not markets where people are forced to buy into horrid inventments every pay day for the next 20 years.
These people are not liberals and they are not conservatives.
This is not free market capitalism its not even socialism its bald face fascism. Socialism might be silly, capitalism might be greedy, but fascism is out right dangerous. The American people have been sold out the direction we are going is neither liberal nor conservative but corporatist.

about the bailout situation?
10 AnswersElections1 decade agoDon't we need to step back and take a look around?
We are facing immediate problems that can have long reaching implications. The tax payer may be forced to either a)take on the debt they didn't create (and may not solve the problem) or b)face the fact that organizations from municipalities to farmers markets may not be able to get credit to fullfill functions such as gassing up police cars or making pay roll. In some cities in the south they have no gas. The Russian Navy is steaming around the Carribean. Banks are failing wiping out millions of shareholder money. We don't have a Reagan or an FDR to take the lead- and small chance that we have one on the way. Is it just me or does it feel like the S*** is about to hit the fan?

bottom of the Republican ticket.. is a losing situation? Palin and Obama probably have the same "weight" of experience. But the thing is Palin is on the bottom of the Republican ticket and Obama is at the top of the Democrat ticket.
