I just bought a 100 dollar snare drum. I watched several tuning videos and tried tuning my snare. Then, when I actually strike the snare, the sound comes, but then it is followed by a nasty echo. It is sounding terrible. Mybe I'm tuning it wrong? Which head is supposed to be tighter, bottom or top? How do i get rid of the echo? I did everything he said but it still sounds kind of bad. My main concern is to get rid of the echo. Thanx in advance.

Im taking the SHSAT tomorrow. Who took it today? Did you find it hard compared to practice tests? Did you finish? Were the scrambled paragraphs confusing? What about the math section? Thank you so much!!

Did you take the shsat this August? If yes, what did you think of it?Was it easy, medium or hard. Was it like practice tests or harder? Did you have enough time to finish? By the way, why do some people take it in August, not in October?

I am trying to get into S.I. Tech and Im studying from Barrons and Kaplan. If you got in, what score did you get. What were your scores on practice tests? If you used Barron's, was it harder or easier compared to shsat test?
