When would you poach a fish in a court bouillon instead of stock and wine? Please, no stupid answers.

If anyone had a good original or unique topic that could be shared with me. I do have a couple of ideas, but would like to see what anyone else can come up with. I do NOT want any typical topics such as: abortion, capital punishment, health care, lowering the legal age for drinking, or school uniforms.. just to name a few.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Ten points of course, to the most unique topic.

I have to do a persuasive speech for my Oral Communications class. The topic for our speech has to be some type of law or program that we either support or oppose. The major thing is that it needs to be one that is need of a change. So.., I've chosen to do my speech on increasing the research that is done for Amphibians. I personally feel (and plenty of other people) as though there is not enough being done to save the amphibians.

A majority of the time when there's a commercial on TV, or something in the paper about an endangered species it's about some type of mammal. I recently read somewhere that Amphibians are declining faster than mammal and bird species. I never hear anything about amphibians and I have only recently discovered information on this subject. So, I feel as though this would be the perfect chance for me to educate myself and some other people, but I am in need of some help.

I have no clue where to begin to gather good, credible information. I have a couple of articles from Reptiles Magazine, but that's about it. Would it be possible for someone to link me to a site where I can find information such as why the population is declining so fast, what percentage of amphibians are endangered, how many have gone extinct of have been added to the endangered species list over the last 10 years or so? Things like that.

Any help would be appreciated, and please only serious answers.

Is there a tradition or something? I have no idea, because I don't celebrate it. I've just noticed a lot of people talking about pancakes today.

So just recently I've discovered Samuel Adams and I must say that I like this company's beer quite a bit more than any of the other brands that I have tried. The problem is that most stores that I have been to only carry the Cherry Wheat or Boston Lager but I have really been wanting to try a couple different kinds, such as the Honey Porter, Blackberry Witbier, and their seasonal beers.

Does anyone know of any chain stores that sell these? As far as I know neither Wal-Mart or Meijer carry these. I live in West Michigan and any help would be appreciated.

I've never actually known, and I just found this new place to go, and they seem -really- professional and they're kind of expensive.. so, I don't really want to offend him or her by not tipping them the correct amount.

I've been pretty into Rockabilly lately, I really like the Stray Cats and Mike Ness and I was just curious if anyone knew of any bands similar to them. Please do not suggest that I listen to Social Distortion though, I am fully aware that Mike is their lead singer.

Cause diarrhea? I have been having some ongoing medical problems for about two years now. I've gone through countless tests, only to find out that I get heartburn a -lot-. I'm taking Prilosec, but I do forget to take it quite a bit. I'm not sure, but it seems like when I do forget to take it, my other symptoms are worse. So does anyone know if having heartburn can give you diarrhea? I haven't found anything online, and my doctors are no help.

In June while I was down in Florida I went to this Greek place in Tarpon Springs (Mama's Greek Cuisine) and I had the Greek Salad. Anyways, it was served with THE BEST potato salad. I have looked, and looked, and looked for a recipe online but I have yet to find one that looks even the least bit similar to the one served there so I was wondering if anyone had a recipe they'd like to share.
