  • Do you receive unemployment if you get laid off and receive a severance package?

I am in the state of Illinois and believe their might be lay-offs in my company's future. If I was to receive a severance package would my unemployment pay being immediately or would I have to wait until the length of my severance ran out. Thanks ahead of time.

  • Can you purchase a home for under value, but get a mortgage for the actual value?

I am looking to be a first time home buyer, but have a decent amount of credit card debt. I have a 730 credit rating and a solid job. In this economy it is very possible to find a home for under market value. I am trying to find out if it is possible to still get the mortgage up to the market value of the home and then pay off my debt with the difference.

  • How to approach this situation with my manager?

After a work function where drinking was included, we went to a coworkers where my manager smacked me solid twice after disagreeing. The first was because of the disagreement and the second was because I would not smack him back. I was going to let it go, but i am realizing that this is going to make work very uncomfortable. Should I consult a lawyer regarding this situation. I do work for a larger corporation, so I dont know how far I would get with it.

  • Spark application on Facebook?

I dont really understand this application. All it asks is if i will date someone or not. Are they able to see what my answer is? Also, if i skip the "Would you date me questions" its talks about reaching more people through friends. Basically, I'm lost. If someone can help me out, I would really appriciate it. Thanks!

If i can get a home below the appraised value, would it be possible to pay off some of my debt with that? Please let me know if i can give you more information

  • What is a percent below asking price on a home?

I am in the chicago suburbs and I was just wondering what is typical to offer on a home/condo below the asking price. Since the market is down, I was thinking that the percent would be higher than usual. Is that correct?

  • Good Credit, Have Debt...Can i get a Mortgage?

By year's end I will have about 15k in credit card debt. I currently make between 45k-50k and am looking to get a condo under 150k with around 10k down and I am a first time home buyer. I have a very solid credit score between 700-720. What would be the best way for me to go about getting a mortgage? Would it even be possible for me to get one? Could I possibly wrap the debt into my mortgage? Please let me know if more information needed. Thanks
